Our world studies teacher explained the Geek-Nerd thing to us. Geeks, Nerds, and Dorks are the three different levels of Nerds. Dorks are Nerds that are not as bright as Nerd level Nerds. Nerds have the average intelligence of a Nerd. Geeks are the smart Nerds.

you see we just hit upon a big question for me because i've always considered myself a music geek but that i think is due in no small part to where i live and which is said by the people i know. In scotland i find nerd isn't really a common term, geek is the big one.
