Can you take this a step further by tracking vacation time (available days/hrs, used days/hrs, unused days/hrs) in the request and in a list for reporting purposes?
I am using SharePoint 2010. I have a list for tracking project progress. I have multiple date fields in that list and most of them are calculated fields. I need to show these dates in Calendar view, as calendar view requires start date and end date ,it seems an item from list can only be shown as calendar view based on only two date fields. I am wondering it is possible to show those multiple dates related to an item in a calendar? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated? OTB or Visual Studio
This will work fine in SharePoint 2010, in fact you can get the users manager from the User Profile Service right in SharePoint designer so there is no need for a separate list nor custom code.
Sadly this dose not work in SP 2010, the work flow seems to have changed. You can look up the user info from within SP now with out a staff calendar but there is no reports to object.

Next time you guys record, you might want to do it in an area without major traffic noise in the background.

In the workflow, how would you define which employee belonged to which supervisor?
