  • Nowadays its more common for people to spend money on a good / nice replica than it is for people to go throw away 5000$ on a hunk of stainless.

It's a generational thing , old people are working longer and as such there are less jobs for people 18~30.... so you see the trend is in replicas probably outstripping genuine sales.

Quality control on replicas is getting better every year, I can't wait till the reps are more water proof than the gens :P . . .

  • What a beautiful Timepiece. Whoa

  • The bezel pip/lume is off-center on that Gen in the video I would return it for another one.

  • @Dre4dwolf How did this piece make it past their quality control ? And who approved this video with such an obvious flaw ??

  • @Solar55 It common, the replicas are usually centered better than the genuine.

The only problems the replicas have is the hour markers tend to not be perfectly aligned (passes the eye test) but just not 100% perfect, then again I doubt even the Gen Dial hour markers are perfect considering they allow such obvious flaws on the bezel.

  • The replicas are just as good for average day to day use.... to 98% of the population a 250$ replica might even look better than a 7000$ hunk of stainless steel.

Now days replica parts and genuine parts are mostly interchangeable... thats how little a difference it makes, not to mention the replicas tend to actually keep better time then their genuine counterparts.

I love omega, but their prices are just not reasonable... and I am poor by no standard.

  • I want one for me !

  • You are right, it is just a watch. Like a Mercedes Benz is just a car, Allen Edmonds are just shoes, Filson's is just a shirt and staying at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco is just a place to sleep. Realistically, the best things in life are not things, yet after all life is short so why not let yourself live a little without using ugly, profane words. You will like yourself better and so will those around you.

  • hublot 4000 is better...

  • Buy an Oris instead, a quarter of the price, looks twice as good.

  • im about to go mad, are they making more liquid metal black planet oceans now/??? wtf i paid for one out of 1948 and now they produce mroe fuck ilnot meiridmgdigmidgmdi

  • For what its worth, I have blown enough money on worthless crap in the last year to easily afford this watch, and I am, by no means, a rich man.

By purchasing this watch, I can actually wear my investment, and admire it, with others, anywhere I go. It puts a spring in my step, and I feel proud when I wear it.

This watch is sexy, stunning, stylish, and is also a mechanical marvel.

  • Since I'm a watch collector, and I have the Speedmaster Pro, I'm either going to get a Planet Ocean or an X33.

  • i like this watch omega

  • Buying a fake Seamaster is not just wrong, it is a sin.

Save your money. Open a special savings account in a bank. Get a part time job. It took me a year and a half for me to save up and buy mine. I never tire of looking at it.

  • @jdh91741 Yup... So true.. Mine is the older movement, the one before this new one. I have both the 45mm and the 42mm.. Love looking at it on my wrist!

  • @jdh91741

If it took you a YEAR and a HALF to buy this then you can't afford it. It's only $4000.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Priorities and a certain degree of personal enjoyment saving for something desired, not needed can be simple fun. What is wrong with sharing an idea of a goal setting for those less solvent?

Why is it some folks make cheap and uncalled for remarks towards people they do not know from behind a computer screen in anonymity? Perhaps I'm wrong and I am missing your point of your comment but the word 'rude' or 'coward' does comes to mind.

  • @jdh91741

People with your attitutde are the reason America has had a negative savings rate. I hope you enjoy that $4000 of depreciating asset.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview Depreciating asset? In 1971 I purchased an Omega Speedmaster in S.E. Asia for $135.00. An Omega Constellation and a Seamaster at similar prices. (they are not replicas). I'm really curious, how have those assets depreciated? You lost me how my attitude towards saving for a luxury item creates a negative savings rate. Perhaps I am the reason for the Greek debt crises? Oh and rest assured, I have never been near the Costa Concordia.

  • @jdh91741

THEY DEPRECIATE IF YOU WEAR THEM.

I have a Breitling Emergency and Omega Speedmaster in a SAFE. Never wore the Breitling. It APPRECIATES. The Speedmaster doesn't.

  • @jdh91741 its... a ... fucking ... watch...

  • I can't handle this. I'm enduring being a poor college student for the time being so that one day, one day, I will be able to buy this.

  • @TmsAws you will do just dont give in an buy a fake i really hate fakes just save and be proud of what you own its something you'll be proud of for a life time

  • @TmsAws Good news! Omega has it's own watch stores. You can pay Omega on a 12 month note same as cash. Highly recommend a hefty down payment. Also, upon purchase take your Omega (still in its box) to an insurance agent. (suggest State Farm) For 50 bucks a year your watch in insured for theft.

  • At last, at LAST ! 100 millions swiss francs of investments to produce as an industrial capacity the 9300 chronograph caliber to compete without sarcasm the Rolex daytona chronograph caliber. And the all, much, much more cheaper. Omega, the most famous swiss watch brand worldwide, who knows, will steal the crown to Rolex about the excellency of craftmanship. I hate Rolex, but love Omega and revered Zenith.

  • Omega PO with 8500 rocks, check my short video about this watch, it is art redefined to the new level, at super low price. I have this watch for few weeks and it keeps perfect time +- 0 seconds! It is unbelievable.

  • The best real watch in the market right now!

  • this new Planet Ocean is very beautiful watch but I prefer to have black ceramic bezel than this new one it is quite grey for me.

Anyway Planet Ocean is the great watch I own the 2500 one really love it <3.

  • love the music

  • Beautiful! Still loving my first generation Planet Ocean!

  • @imranbecks

the new planet ocean positively craps all over your old and out of date one

  • @set2light "Positively craps"? Seriously? Old or out of date, at the end of the day, its still the Planet Ocean and its still an Omega.. So watch what you're saying. Definitely better than whatever watch you're wearing now.

  • @imranbecks Enjoy it man, and ignore the Digi-watch wearing pipsqueak living in his grandma's basement. He wishes he had an Omega.

  • @imranbecks>SOME PEOPLE HERE SAID OMEGA A DEPRECIATING ASSET?>THEY ARE ALL FOOLS MY FRIEND!BECAUSE THEY AREN'T OMEGA OWNERS OR CAN'T APPRECIATE THE VALUE OF THEIR OMEGAS!FOR EXAMPLE>bigtruckseriesreview.SPEEDMASTER DEPRECIATING_LOL!
