When he was defending the pick and roll, Brian Cardinal was hedging. Against players like D-Wade who can get into the lane with a full head of steam, you need to hedge to prevent him from penetrating. It was a good hedge. Also, on the kick-out to Mike Bibby, Cardinal got slowed down a bit by getting his foot caught on Wade's leg. Not really his fault for a bad close-out. If you were playing in Brian Cardinal's shoes, you would not be close to doing ANYTHING he was doing in this play.

OK, so here's all the factual errors I made in my comments, none of which are that he sucks... that remains true.

4. He was technically closer to blocking Bibby's shot than I was, being as I was in a different state

5. He did not recieve high-fives from the whole bench, but only a player or two.
