Someone please respond to this: I'm catholic and i'm wondering if Shane Told of Silverstein is satanic. I've seen him wear stuff with pentagrams and shit on them, so i'd like to know. Regardless, Silverstein is without a doubt amazing and I'll still like them no matter what. I'm just curious.

@zZRiseAgainst The Pentagram isn't worn by Satanists. It is used in many different religions and philosophical groups. Christians use it to represent the 5 wounds of Christ, Wiccans use it similarly as a Christian does with a cross (for protection from evil. HOWEVER, a reversed Pentagram, is considered an evil symbol. I would have to see the design Shane Told is wearing. Or it could be a fashion symbol used on a shirt. Much like a famous Motley Crue shirt that is worn.

Even though all of the songs are under 1:30 (which makes sense, it's called SHORT SONGS people), every song makes me feel like I just listened to a full song, it's so amazing. And, as far as style goes, I don't think Silverstein have changed a bit. They still have soft and heavy songs, all of which sound amazing! So just enjoy the music, and don't say it should be longer, because it's from SHORT SONGS.

As far as I'm concerned, Silverstein have done it again. \m/,

When it comes to post hardcore music the fans tend to prefer the punk or metal side more; short songs is probably great for everyone into the punk aspect of Silverstein's music but after coming out with an album less than a year ago that showed they still hadn't forgotten their heavy edge this is disappointing to people like me. I have all their albums but I won't be adding Short Songs to the collection.

There's only a few bands that make it this long in their career with succesful albums. Silverstein is one of those few bands that remain. They have done so much and their work is greatly appreciated. But it seems to be they're only getting started.

Short Songs not only proves how talented Silverstein actually is but it shows how much they've grow up since day one. It is an amazing album to listen to. I just cannot get enough.
