i sold my v70 AWD r yesterday, the day before i sold it, i was 300 miles away from home with a freshly filled tank of gas, so i just thought fck myself and everyone else im getting a slow jeep so i might aswell enjoy this while i can, so i planted my foot the floor all the way home, when i got home the breaks were glowing aswell as the exhaust and i could pull chunks of the tyres off, 195 down an empty autobahn is the most incredible experience ever (dont call me a lier the car was modded)

GLT is 168hp. Turbo is 190 or 222hp depending on the year. T5R and R is 240hp.

Unfortunately, any upgrade that gives noticeable increase in power and performance is expensive. IPD has performance ECU and exhaust upgrades, but they are very expensive. The cheapest thing I can think to do is drop in a K&N air filter ($50-60US). It'll provide better breathing, which means maybe 2hp more and slightly better fuel economy. It's not too noticeable though.

basically you need a high-pressure turbo (your glt has a low pressure one)

it's better to get a car with a high pressure turbo already installed as conversion would be problematic and pricey....

look for a turbo, t5 or R.... if you find any of those for your price range, that's what ya want (as far as power goes) in the 850 range... glt's can be somewhat quick but i hear it takes a bit more to get them up there

the s70 GLT does. and all you really need to do, is somewhere down the line, visit ebay for the td04hl 19t or 18t turbo, stop buy or order a t-5 or R ECU, and maybe slap on an R manifold from a ne s60, and you will be right there with the best of them.
