you know adam morrison wasn't rookie of the year right? It was the third best Shooting Guard in the NBA Brandon Roy. With that said, Adam Morrison is not nearly as bad as people have painted him the last few years. He wasn't bad in Charlotte and how can he get minutes in L.A.? He can still be a solid NBA player in the right situation (most likely on a bad team) but he is easily a rotation player on a lot of teams.

Adam's weakness with Charlotte was his inability to play defense, which everybody knew going into the draft. They were hoping he'd change. He didn't. Then Charlotte sent him to a team in L.A. with a lot of talent, that isn't going to put Adam out there unless they have a huge lead. I would agree with you. But Radmonovic was barely getting any time for like the past 10 games before he got traded. He's also inconsistent and not a very good defender. Morrison gives them another 3-point threat and he can also take it to the rim. Shannon Brown is a very good defender, and thats the main reason they bothered to get him. Besides, Radmonavic was useless to the Lakers, so even if they don't play well, its not hurting the Lakers very much.
