I happen to think that Paul's best partnership, or one of them, was in a Season 3 Film and Theatre Styles with Mike McShane. They kept it together brilliantly.
Okay, I've only just now started watching the UK version, and I've seen four episodes so far. Every time I have seen Tony, he has really put on a magnificent show, and he's always so smartly dressed!!
Agreed. I like the American version, but it needed more variety in its performers. Tony, Paul, and Josie, and Mike as semi-regulars would have been great.
That was a good game! The one I remember was Tony Slattery as "The Guy Who Does ITV Continuity Announcements", Josie Lawrence with "Nursery Rhymes", Paul Merton with "Yakashimo Okomo" and Mike McShane with the only real author with "Mark Twain". It was very, very funny!
Paul's breakdown during Film and theater when tony pulled the cig was priceless, the beauty of improv. . . ahh.

At least there were some 'Ö's in the Turkish film. I was getting worried they forgot it.

I looked up Barbara Cartland, but I still don't get the Joke. Why did Tony call her a fascist?
DasNutellamaedchen 6 months ago
@DasNutellamaedchen That's not the first Barbara Cartland joke Tony has done on Whose Line. He really doesn't like her =P
The fascist thing confused me too. It's probably because she's Ronald Cartland's sister .. (He's a British Conservative Party politician).

Steve Steen was quite good in this segment. It's nice to see someone putting craft and just doing the job.

Paul's rebelliousness makes me laugh until my sides hurt.

You can have a favorite, but none is "the best"; they all need each other to build a joke off of. Also, they each have their strengths and weaknesses

When there´s no Colin or Ryan, Tony RULES the show.

Paul and Tony are great together!
Tony is always funnier when he plays with other british players. He seems so reserved and amazingly shy when he's with Ryan Colin Greg etc.

Tony and Paul = Awesomeness
I really missed them in the US version, same goes for Josie.
- "Can I borrow a cigarette?"
- "Sure, take the pack"
