@paulthecoolest I'm not American, and there were some lines in the English dub that I thought were extremely immature or stupid. I mean, at every turn there was a superfluous swear word (as if all the characters were foul-mouthed).

But the winner for worst line of all would HAVE to be the "Hey, brush-head!" one. That was one of the most immature, childish and typically American lines I ever heard in a film.

Overall I think the Japanese version was much better, and I sometimes think a special edition with English dialogue and Japanese music would be OK as well.

The Japanese version had names like this. M. Bison is a ripoff of Mike Tyson (obviously; he's the Boxer in Japanese) so Capcom feared a lawsuit and thus switched the names around for the English release. This has been confusing people for years.

For an unknown reason, Akuma also had his English name changed; he's known as Gouki in the Japanese release (makes a lot more sense next to Gouken now with the expanded lore).

Gouki can be pronounced either GOY-KEY or GO-KEY, either way its sinds japanese but kinda awkward, so i think they changed it to Akuma because its also very japanese sounding but easier to pronounce.....and personally sounds cooler too :D
