I saw an old man strike down a small child of maybe two years old. He had pulled him behind his car so no one would see. I found a police man and he told me that it was in their culture and that we shouldn't get involved. It was so sad. I felt so helpless, helpless to save that child if the people that we depend on to protect them refuse.

A man walking by, pulled me asside after hearling what I had done and thanked me. I asked him why. He he had wished someone would have done that for him.

I have a 13 month old little girl 5 year old boy and a 9 year old boy and it is hard being a parent sometimes but watching my children grow up and say I love you mom and hearing them laugh and watching them be happy and knowing it is because of me that they are happy. Knowing that i did my job as a parent and giving them all the love they need is the reason why i go on every day. I saw a picture of lea-sophie (again today) as she was photographed for the autopsie. She was skin and bone, her body was full of sores and open wounds. I couldn't reconise that this was a child. Judge? it took months for Lea-Sophie to starve to death, the parents had to eat - why didn't lea-Sophie?
