@MrProvideoeditor Maybe your just a pussy? Personally I love people like you because since you dont feel anything in the music, means everyone else must feel the same. I call people like you, close minded idiots.
jajajajaja to all the fuckers who says triggers make you faster or more powerfull or more accurate in duoble bass.. there it is!! in your fucking facee!!! he is not playing with triggers in a lot of parts of this video!! SUCK IT!!!
@adddaniel123 yea its pointless to tune them if you are going to replace them with a sample but you have to keep the same tension on them so the triggers arent over/under sensitive
Triggers, just change the fucking sound thats it. noting more. that's their only purpose is to change the sound, tone and volume of the kick drum. Not to speed it up or anything. just make it a different noise.
@xXEsPLoVeRXx its obvious that his bass head is rediculously tight which gives him a huge speed and endurance advantage over someone who doesnt have triggers and gets an organic deep bass sound NATURALLY. I have no problem with using triggers for live shows since it acts as a bass mic, but not if the drummer is incapable of playing his part without them like this guy obviously is.
It seems triggering has created a bit of a divergence in the drum community. It is a new approach to an old art. I imagine many traditionalist drummers jazz guys etc would be aghast at what is going on and consider it cheating or whatever but I see it as a new form with its own pros and cons much like classical players balking at those horrible electrified instruments that are so popular now. I personally prefer a real drum but at up around 240 bpm it gets pretty hard to get a clean sound.
i would like to see all these gayfags accusing so many bands of being terrible bc of triggers to get within 10 miles of what these artists can do. triggers make metal sounds way more clean and mean
im guessing since from what i can tell, he is using triggers, and for good trigger response he has his heads tuned tight so this might be the reason? i dont know, let me know if im right or wrong yall
@clockwork421 Clockwork is right. It's tuned for studio use. The mixer can make the shit sound however they want. Do you people honestly think he's going to let himself keep his drums like that and have to listen to the album with his drums sounding like that?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
... epic fail.... triggers all his drums..... why dosnt he just use an electric kit jesus... god damn guys who trigger all theirdrums deserve no respect what so ever
Hes still a good drummer dude..... Triggers just enhance the sound in recording and live setup..... Hes still playing everything..... Hes not really that original though..... jus an average death metal drummer...... The drummer from Animosity is badass..... NO TRIGGERS
triggers dont enhance you sound... they make it so when you hit the drum really soft it plays a sample really loud. and any boy who sets triggers up can play blistering fast. people who trigger their drums are jokes
Most modern death metal recordings have resampled or blended kick drums, yes.
Whether or not there is a MIDI trigger on his kick drum is up in the air, you don't need one to replace it with a sample in recording software, though.
ok first off i have portnnoy in there cause DT is my favorate band. i dont think he is the best or anything... an di never said i was a "god" at drumming... i just said i probly know more about drums than you do
honestly that's like saying you don't respect people that use compression on recordings. The guy still has to play it and honestly most people that use triggers only use them cause they like the sound of the triggers or they play too fast for accoustic drums as it would just sound like a wall of bass
triggers are used to make the sound of the drums more clear, and to eliminate any background noise. they also make it more embarrassing to screw up cuz it is way more noticeable
@t0ko No, but when little posers use triggers to make little movements they make with their feet on the pedal to make it sound like heavy hitting powerful strokes when they go at faster speeds is when triggers are unjustifiably used...
@t0ko Wait till the new trick "ekits" style system comes out. They have a laser system that allows you to do double bass twice as fast as you're actually preforming. Complete utter bullshit.
@t0ko Idk if it's just me, but i LOVE the sound of triggers for metal stuff. exept when they trigger the whole kit... i just like the kick triggers. but that's my opinion. xD
