  • 100% gay

  • he does that moller/stick bounce on the rims even on cymbals

    nice

  • soulless garbage

  • @MrProvideoeditor uhm fuck you?

  • :41 "Alas, we have a spy in our midst"

  • @wait666bleed really? you can honestly tell me you can listen to this garbage for more than 10 seconds without getting sick.

  • @MrProvideoeditor yes..its called taste in good music. the dude clearly has talent.

  • @MrProvideoeditor Maybe your just a pussy? Personally I love people like you because since you dont feel anything in the music, means everyone else must feel the same. I call people like you, close minded idiots.

  • if i had as many Monsters as were behind him (:16) id do the same thing at 280pbm lmao

  • i love how even when hes just playing the drum parts i can still recall the guitar

  • jajajajaja to all the fuckers who says triggers make you faster or more powerfull or more accurate in duoble bass.. there it is!! in your fucking facee!!! he is not playing with triggers in a lot of parts of this video!! SUCK IT!!!

  • what china is he using at 1:50?

  • 0:15 - 0:32 is fucking badass

  • Tony is sooooo fuckin' sick...

  • dude triggers go make drums more creative you can change the sound make the song a completely different thing idk why everyone hates them

  • he looks like get that camera the fuck away from me

  • Bra skit. Gillar DoM som fan.

  • does he play withe ends of his sticks?

  • En wat is er nu zo bijzonder aan?

  • good drummer but cant tune his drums for shit

who would want to play that drum set when the toms sound like hitting a piece of paper with a pencil?

thats what triggers are for im guessing

  • @adddaniel123 yea its pointless to tune them if you are going to replace them with a sample but you have to keep the same tension on them so the triggers arent over/under sensitive

  • @adddaniel123 they're tuned like that so the triggers dont fire off when they're not supposed to

  • hes a great dummer omg thats nice ! but that Drum kit sounds like complete shit !

  • Triggers, just change the fucking sound thats it. noting more. that's their only purpose is to change the sound, tone and volume of the kick drum. Not to speed it up or anything. just make it a different noise.

  • @xXEsPLoVeRXx its obvious that his bass head is rediculously tight which gives him a huge speed and endurance advantage over someone who doesnt have triggers and gets an organic deep bass sound NATURALLY. I have no problem with using triggers for live shows since it acts as a bass mic, but not if the drummer is incapable of playing his part without them like this guy obviously is.

  • It seems triggering has created a bit of a divergence in the drum community. It is a new approach to an old art. I imagine many traditionalist drummers jazz guys etc would be aghast at what is going on and consider it cheating or whatever but I see it as a new form with its own pros and cons much like classical players balking at those horrible electrified instruments that are so popular now. I personally prefer a real drum but at up around 240 bpm it gets pretty hard to get a clean sound.

  • he looks a lot like Muhammed from necrophagist :P

  • Is the producer from Obscura? he looks liek christian

  • i would like to see all these gayfags accusing so many bands of being terrible bc of triggers to get within 10 miles of what these artists can do. triggers make metal sounds way more clean and mean

  • why two triggers on a snare?

  • @bmthx1

Could be a few things, one for monitors one for recording, reliability on the gravity blasts, in case on unplugs or breaks, etc.

  • im not a fan of triggering toms. they have no natural feel or good resonance. IMO

  • 2:18 LMFAO :D

  • hahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • is he on a practice kit or some sort? because the kit sounds like shit. amazing drumming but the kit sounds like a junky 200$ one.

  • im guessing since from what i can tell, he is using triggers, and for good trigger response he has his heads tuned tight so this might be the reason? i dont know, let me know if im right or wrong yall

  • this drumset cos more than 4000$ wie all that equipment

    its a professional studio drumset

  • Jesus christ. Post re-vids if you dont like his drumming. His stuff is set for studio. Thats why the sound is janked up. Idiots.

  • @clockwork421 Clockwork is right. It's tuned for studio use. The mixer can make the shit sound however they want. Do you people honestly think he's going to let himself keep his drums like that and have to listen to the album with his drums sounding like that?

  • @clockwork421 I'm pretty sure if you were going to record in a studio you would have your drums well tuned and make sure they sound good.

  • i dont like the sound of his kit

i know you have to tune it differnt for studio

but that super tight sound with no volume

    its kinda lame

    but thats just me

    sick drummer tho

  • see, I think that comes down to a matter of opinion. I like how it sounds a lot. But remember, its all triggered.

  • maybe he uses triggers

  • you obviously have no fucking idea about the recording process.

  • Hes still a good drummer dude..... Triggers just enhance the sound in recording and live setup..... Hes still playing everything..... Hes not really that original though..... jus an average death metal drummer...... The drummer from Animosity is badass..... NO TRIGGERS

  • triggers dont enhance you sound... they make it so when you hit the drum really soft it plays a sample really loud. and any boy who sets triggers up can play blistering fast. people who trigger their drums are jokes

  • yeah, navene koperweis to me is one of the most original deathmetal/deathcore drummers right now hands down.

  • he triggers his kick drum actually

  • Really are u sure???

  • im talking about navene koperweis bro

  • yea.... I know.... I thought he had no triggers though.....at all..... hmmmm.... maybe im mistaken

  • this video he does as well

  • You can see @ 0:11, he already has 2 triggers only for his snare.

  • Most modern death metal recordings have resampled or blended kick drums, yes.

Whether or not there is a MIDI trigger on his kick drum is up in the air, you don't need one to replace it with a sample in recording software, though.

  • at 1:50 you can easily see that he have trigger on toms, floor toom and snare...so not only the kik drum

  • stfu if you don't know crap about drums dude

  • fuck off i dont. i would make a bet i know more than you do

  • Good. Brag as much as you want but with a "portnoy" in your name.... I'm sure you're a god. ROFL

  • ok first off i have portnnoy in there cause DT is my favorate band. i dont think he is the best or anything... an di never said i was a "god" at drumming... i just said i probly know more about drums than you do

  • Good !

  • you are talking that you dont respect pete sandoval for example?

  • well if he uses fixed volume triggers on all his drums then no i dont respect him

  • honestly that's like saying you don't respect people that use compression on recordings. The guy still has to play it and honestly most people that use triggers only use them cause they like the sound of the triggers or they play too fast for accoustic drums as it would just sound like a wall of bass

  • He triggers his toms too.

  • Damn, this guy is tighter than an embryo's..... I wont go there.

  • sweet!

  • im diggin the empty beer cans in the background. the sign of a true drummer!!!! jk but beer is still sick

  • WOULD YA FANCY FUCK

  • he is like a poor man's version of derek roddy... 5/5

  • well every drummer is poor

  • well okay, but he still isn't as good as roddy.

  • well you really don't have to compare. we're all unique.

  • camera mic makes it sound like shit, but the FINAL product sounds amazing

  • good drummer

  • He's quite original

  • nicee

  • love his style, kinda reminds me of vitek from decapitated

  • And may Vitek rest in piece :(

  • det där är ju i Sundsvall :D jag bor hundra meter därifrån ^^ sweet drumming

  • those splashes and bells must have bled into the rack toms, theyre really close together.

  • Yeah, they probably just did some sample replacement to cover that up.

  • jooooder. I like ti!

  • inte alltid man ser en svensk på sickdrummer :) Lycka till med albumet, ska kolla in eran myspace.

  • dang that overhead to his right china is so close to him

  • the stacks sound like total shit

  • if people could understand how triggers work and their purpose, then they wouldnt think triggers were a bad thing afterall

  • yeh

  • @t0ko theyre only bad cuz you can play really fast and barely hit and it will sound like your pounding. especially with fast double bass and blast

  • triggers are used to make the sound of the drums more clear, and to eliminate any background noise. they also make it more embarrassing to screw up cuz it is way more noticeable

  • @t0ko It's exactly because we know how they work and why people use them, we don't like them!

  • @t0ko Amen to that brotha

  • @t0ko well ya. but when they're overused a shitload. that's when they are a bad thing

  • @t0ko No, but when little posers use triggers to make little movements they make with their feet on the pedal to make it sound like heavy hitting powerful strokes when they go at faster speeds is when triggers are unjustifiably used...

  • @t0ko Wait till the new trick "ekits" style system comes out. They have a laser system that allows you to do double bass twice as fast as you're actually preforming. Complete utter bullshit.

  • @t0ko Idk if it's just me, but i LOVE the sound of triggers for metal stuff. exept when they trigger the whole kit... i just like the kick triggers. but that's my opinion. xD

  • i cant stand triggers

  • Why're there two triggers on the snare? O_o

  • if 1 fails

  • or to combine two sound samples.

  • third! :D

    awesome vid

  • second!

    sick vid! wooo

  • first*

    :D

    nice vid
