  • The first thing I thought of was Bill Evans. I LOVE Bill Evans' playing deeply, but out of curiosity, do you listen to any other pianists? I don't hear any other influences. I'm not complaining--I'd love to be an Evans clone--I would just like to know what things you did to get to where you are. (for ex, just transcribing and hours of listening or was there more to it? Did you work with him?)I'd really like to know. Great playing, dude.

  • Nice interpretation. I can definitely hear a Bill Evans influence. On more than one melodic run I heard Evans' phrasing almost note for note. Very accomplished!
