roomie was from brooklyn and he would get KISS-FM, & WBLS Taped and sent to him we would go to clubs and blow dj's away with this stuff. Peace and love to the Massweiler crew 80'-81'. If any of you are still kicking with this groove please post. we definitely were the @#$%!!!
Wow! What a decent memory. I was a Marine back 1980 stationed in N.C. and spending the weekends in Manhattan and Brooklyn jammin to this great music. I remember all the brothas in the barracks dancin to this too. How sad that the years of this life pass so fast. Treasure everything.
Unlimited Touch was a New York based post disco group who had some regional fame in the early eighties. The group consisted of Audrey Wheeler, Phil Hamilton, Tony Cintron, Sandy Anderson, Stephanie James and Lenny Underwood.
Due to a major management / label and group dispute, they disbanded by the end of 1981. Lenny Underwood co-wrote "I Hear Music In The Streets"
It's been a long time since I heard music that made me just wanna stop what I'm doing and shake my ass!!! I'm at work and I cannot compose myself!!! We need this music back because music is dying for real!!! This shit bumps!!!!
Thank you fastflyer: Bommboxes back in da day played this on every block , girls rockin to this beat in the summer heat oh tthat was so sweet, at the beach or the pool this jam ruled,Too bad i don't hear music in the street anymore!
Because the record label nowadays want to control content, arrangement, marketing and distribution. Once an artist or group signs a recording contract, they basically surrender all rights to their music. It is then chopped, cut and pasted to make that "sound" the marketing executives want. Prime example, Justin Timberlake. No talent. Just a piece of putty molded for a specific market segment. Same can be said of Rap music.
not only that infamouslsg, this was an era when all the songs didnt sound the same. they were real productions with real instruments..i miss those days
Ahhhh, a nice turntable equals a nice set of 1980s' tunes! I've never heard this song before nor this group, but let me tell ya, you rock fastflyer2007, so rock on dude!!!
Unlimited Touch!!! Definitive '80s Dance Music, this cut and track had the entire City of New York going crazy, me included!...Thank you sooooo much for your amazing discographic abilities, you are loved!

That's true, If I hear one more synthesised voice. But you're right not too many artists today are interested in using real instruments anymore
