Duct tape ? There's no duct tape on there. The squirrels would have chewed that off if the weather didn't get to it first.
No, I had used a glass cookie jar and had a plumbing attachment that could be screwed into the lid and secured from the other side with a male attachment.
I've got a more squirrel one in mind but I haven't seen any chipmunks yet at my new townhouse. And i've been here for years. :-/

Thanks. I'm hoping to film a "how to" video soon with a significantly improved feeder.
The feeder in this video wasn't quite squirrel proof. I've had to secure the lid because they kept twisting it off and a black squirrel even got stuck in the pipe ! It had managed to squeeze in because it was soaked by rain.
I've got all of the material so all I need to do now it to find the time...

I was lucky to get it on film. It only happened a three to four times and they only did it twice in a row when I had filmed them.

Ah thats a shame, they make wonderful pets. They're actually fairly easy to buy here in the UK, but quite expensive.

I moved about one fourth of a KM away from my previous residence and hoped to have some little visitors but my feeder's untouched. :( There are more cats here so that could be the problem.

:) We unfortunately can't have 'em as pets here in Ontario. It's illegal to own members of the local wildlife.

Thanks. The squirrels are smart though. They did unscrew the lid before I stabilized it with some nails. I guess I should have glued it. And one of the more adventurous squirrels thought he could get in because he was wet due to rain - He got stuck and we had to help him get out.
