  • OMG she is so adorable!!

  • awwwww! this is adorable..she reminds me of my 5 year old brother, who has also been diagnosed with PDD-NOS, so much!..couldn't help but shed a tear :)

  • My sister is 19 years old, diagnosed just few months ago with PDD-NOS(had ADD diagnosed few weeks ago myself). Aside from being shy, there werent any problems at all in the past. Never thought her and my behaviour could be disorders.. Now trying to improve, which seems reluctant with parents who are also stubborn and have high expectations

  • She's adorable!

  • Hi, my 3 year old son has been diagnosed with PPD-NOS two weeks ago. First, we were scared of not being able to help him develope and obtain tools to pass through his limitations. However, we have found a fantastic bookshop with lots of activities to share with him. I'm still plenty of hope that we kind give him kinda of a normal life. But I have to admit that sometimes I cry silently,,,

  • my iq was like zero.... started to grow explosive after my 20th birthday

  • Does she actually know what are you answering ? how old is she ? 4 ?

  • @xxxAlphaxxx5 She was five when this video was made and we still aren't certain as to her level of awareness. She is now almost ten and still repeats what we say. Even her psychiatrist is not sure of her level of self-awareness and depth of understanding. I think she understands the strategies we give her are tools to help her feel safe.

  • @holly0817 So that means so far no people can measure her IQ level ?

  • @xxxAlphaxxx5 She does not test well on the IQ test and the psych says it's not a good indicator of her intelligence because her skills are so splintered. She is considered in the moderate MR range but if they would modify the test so that instructions could be given more than once or explained in different ways, she would probably test higher. The psych says it's hard to tell for sure.

  • @holly0817 Okay then.Does she know basic stuff like go to the potty by she self ? or she need a help from the diaper ?

  • My 3 year old daughter does the same thing. She is in the process of being evaluated. Your daughter is so cute.

  • Buy her a piano

  • SO Cute!! My son was just diagnosed with PDD-NOS he is 10 1/2 months old. Yes, VERY young but he is very obvious if you watch my videos.

  • My son was diagnosed PDD-NOS at Joh Hopkins, and here in Pakistan they said ASD. But, progress goes on. I think progress is 10% school and 90% parent/parents

  • My son was diagnosed as PDD_NOS when he was 2 but I'm beginning to wonder what the Dr. would say if she met him now. If this little girl is standard for PDD_NOS then my son must be classic autism. I would give anything if he could ask a question even if it was the same 50 times. He's almost 8 and has never even said his own name. You are sooo lucky that she is barely affected at all.

  • God she is adorable! My son is PDD-NOS as well, but he is still babbling-learning words.

  • My son is six with PDD-NOS and does the exact same thing.

  • Thank you for sharing this very valuable insight to PDD.

  • This is my 4 year old son. He was diagnosed as PDD-NOS, last Dec. I believe my 6 year old may have it too, and they do believe my 6 year old as Asperger's, but it's so expensive for evalutations here.

  • I have 5 year old that were diagnosed with PDD-NOS about 6 months ago. On of the girls does this all day. She repeats the names of friends and family and says hello and bye to them over and over again all day everyday. How old is your daughter?

  • okay, even on that i didnt repeat the same question over and over. i dont think thats a part of autism.

  • i know

  • Oh, he is also ADHD and ODD, but he hasn't been officially diagnosed. I have ADD and it highly runs in my family, especially with the boys, but my son is still too young for them to diagnose

  • This is EXACTLY what my son does on a daily basis. All of our conversations are like this. He'll be 4 on June 1st, and he's been diagnosed with mixed receptive-expressive language disorder and phonological disorder. His Ped wants him tested for Aspergers, but I don't believe he has it. He's very affectionate and doesn't have trouble making eye contact.

  • Wat is PDD-NOS?

  • autism more on wiki.

  • i have PDD and Asperger's Syndrome. i dont have PDD-NOS but PDD and AS are mixed together. I repeat my words sometimes.

  • thanks for your videos. my son was diagnosed yesterday. i see him in your videos.

  • i used to have that severely...now im Ok.

    but u give me hope!

  • wow my 3 yr old is just like that with the repetitive words and he also has PDD:(

  • Anna is so much like my son (pdd-nos)! Anna is wonderful and so are you- Thanks for sharing these videos. Good luck!

  • It's really identical behaviour like my son who just turned 4. We just heard the diagnose two days ago that he has PDD NOS too. It's been a shock and am trying to accept and learn about it. Thank you for your video, it's very helpfull.

  • declarative language maybe if u see kathy befpre she does tel her "look there is kathy, lets go say hi" i use this with my students ot help them with good conversation skills and to help them think for themselves instead of imparatives where im doing the thinking for them....check into rdi..dr gutstein..i think she would benefit from it =)

  • My little girl has PDD-NOS to, it has been really hard accepting her diagnosis, but your videos have really helped, thank you.

  • omg thats sharon,,,,

  • My cousin is the same way. She's 14 I think and asks questions that are kind of taboo. Like, one time, she asked where my aunt's other son and no one wanted to answer her and finally someone said that she had given her son up for adoption and my cousin was like, "Did you not love him?" She asks questions like that all the time.

  • I dont know, I can not tell from this video clip that she is any different from any other child when they are bored, or want attention or other situations where they are repetitive... it always seemed like a part of development... New sounds, deductive thinking, testing speech, and often parental patience.

  • i know right? teenagers with PDD (like me) are thought of to have that but honestly its just a teenage angst. its annoying

  • I'm 43 and recently discovered that I may have a very mild form of autism. Something I have always done is to repeat things to myself over and over. Never so anyone else could hear, but quite often under my breath, or in my mind.

  • I do that too, and my son is severely autistic. I also count and add things in my head all the time.

  • These are such illuminating video clips! They really help differentiate between and categorize the different issues some of our children face. (This clip in particular is similar to what I see in my little guy.)

All these video clips are so informative - THANK YOU for posting them.
