  • Not shown: Bert's completely full larder, stocked with more cookies than he will ever be able to eat in his entire life, while Ernie starves on the street.

If this video is liberalism, then that's capitalism.

  • @BizarreCoverup

    Hunh?

Not everything has to be political, you know. And I get the feeling that Ernie will find some way of talking Bert out of any future cookie without much trouble.

In fact there was a sketch where Bert did have an entire cabinet full of cookies just for himself, It was marked with a big B for Bert and off-limits for Ernie...--unitl Ernie opened it and changed the letter to a capital E as he helped himself to the cookies.

    Never underestimate a smart-aleck.

  • HO HO HO HO HOLD IT! LOL

  • Bert: "Oh, yeah, yeah, sure. I'LL take the half cookie; and YOU can have whatever crumbs happen to fall onto the floor!" o x-D

  • Ernie's look at the end: "W-w-what happened, did I miss something here? What was that all about?!"

  • Is this possibly inspired by an Abbott and Costello routine where Bud talks Lou out of most of his cream crackers? I recall hearing something like that years ago and it certainly fits here.

  • Ernie was afraid of the screaming of Bert at the last sec .

  • Ernie and Bert remind me of Timon and Pumba.

  • @declanappleseed

I have never heard of Timon and Pumba. Who are they?

  • @Smartboy8877 They're an animated meerkat and warthog duo. Look them up and watch the movie they're both in sometime.

  • @declanappleseed

Thank you very much for the heads up!

  • what did the biscuit say bert when he crossed the road ?

Answer oh CRUMS he he he says ernie

  • Does anyone have the sketch when Ernie questions his existence, thinking he might not be here?

  • Ernie is acting like a typical liberal.

  • Are the Obama comments really necessary?

I did not vote for him, but this getting petty.

  • Ernie represents the Democratic party and Bert is the gullible American voter. How long will we continued to be doped by the braindead libtards?

  • @yabruf You gotta politicize Sesame Street? For God's sake.

  • @james0805

    Yep!

  • @yabruf

lol this sketch is 1000x funnier when you imagine it as a political allegory

  • Liberals are freaking morons.

  • Hey, I remember that classic clip.

Kinda reminds of what happens when you "share the wealth".

  • Bert nearly has a heart attack. LOL

  • "Hey Bert would you share that half a cookie with... AAAAAHHHHHH!!!" Classic Ernie and Bert moments.

  • There's something so upbeat about Ernie, even when he's conniving Bert out of his cookie, it's hard not to agree with him!

  • Ho ho ho HOLD IT!!!!!!!

  • Lol. Brilliant! Poor Bert though.

  • I gotta say as much as I enjoyed SS skits as a kid...the end fanfares (i.e like the end music here) at the conclusion of most skits was quite confusing and sometimes bothersome. What was it supposed to denote; whose side was it on? Did it tell us that Bert was angry? I can totally understand why he was, though. Why couldn't Ernie just leave him be? It was Bert's cookie for Pete's sake lol...And Bert's scream at the end, stopping Ernie cold was hysterical!

  • there's an insidious political message here!

  • @beercaked Yup- socialism. LOL

  • @beercaked

    What exactly is that message?

  • "Ho,ho,ho,ho,hold it." So funny.

  • The end is so funny!
