  • @RJGuitar07 if they are a joke, then how in the hell, are there sooo many people watching them at every show? and soooo many people who go back to see them, when they come through their town? joke bands dont draw huge crowds man

  • trolling again :/ in every fuckin youtube video...please just enjoy the music!!!

  • This sucks, they look like idiots also. Is this a joke or are they serious? How can people listen to this without bursting out laughing?

  • @RJGuitar07 at a first glance yes. lol They sound and look like idiots but..... If you play guitar, and have an open minded opinion on music, after a few listens to one of their cds you might realize how insanely talented these guys are

  • @RJGuitar07 you have absolutely no knowledge of music...Period. End of Story

  • @RJGuitar07 No, you questioning their sheer talent made me burst out in tears.

  • This is my favourite lineup. Wish Chris & Brian would re-join one day. I'm also fed up with people bitching, if you don't like it...don't watch it you cum guzzling faggots. fuck of and listen to jonas brothers or w/e

  • what guitar is brian using

  • BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!

  • @ghheuf fuckin kick ass. my history teacher in high school got me into them

  • Chris is so good he made it look so easy

  • Greg's hair makes the top of his head look like a penis. Like a big angry screaming penis.

  • He looks like a young Dustin Hoffman. Awwwwwwwwesome.

  • @rwoods2k People were playing in odd time signatures back in 1969. The Dillinger Escape Plan is pretty much today's equivalent to Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

  • @thekidwiththefa Trout Mask Replica with FZ producing!

  • @m11gtr Precisely!

  • @rwoods2k you should probably listen to their studio albums because it is way easier to comprehend than their live stuff

  • @rwoods2k There is nothing crap about this. This is absolute genius. If you don't like don't fucking watch it you absolute douche bag.

  • @RyanLikesTool Lets be honest that this video is the worst possible audio example of DEP ever created though... not the best introduction LOL

  • @rwoods2k i get what youre saying man this music takes shitload of time to get used to and no doubt its not for everyone.. but i happen to like it

  • @rwoods2k it ain't no A7X that's for darned sure

  • is he inhaling all the time?

  • @clone120 He is screaming whatever comes out of his mouth, like people used to do before dorks tried to turn screaming into a science.

  • @brutalsea1

that doesn't anser my question weather he is breathing in or out....

  • @clone120 No, it definitely doesn't.

  • @brutalsea1

then keep your thoughts by yourself ;)

  • @clone120 A thought is something you keep to yourself.... by definition. Therefore that was a statement.

  • @brutalsea1

well, then keep your thought, which was embodied by your statement, to yourself.

i guess he is not just yelling. it is not like he is one time breathing in and the next time he does the song he is breathing out at the same song position.

  • @clone120 Which is my point about not making screaming so clinical. I was a bit of a dick and i apologise for that but to me trying to learn to scream takes the passion and intensity out of punk rock. To me screaming in music IS about blowing your voice out, it's art not science.

  • bitchin

  • 00:40 how does a human being make that noise..... fucking awesome

  • @majorivan discipline! or your beat the shit out of your vocal chords... but in the discipline part you've got puciato, patton and others

  • hahahahhahaha xDDD

  • awesome guys and awesome song!

  • Fucking hardcore, I love these guys

  • wtf are you smpking. JD is simular in some ways but the timing is a bit different. There are a lot of fast bands like The Locust, but that doesn't mean they ripped off JD as well. DEP is more experimental in their music than JD. Your claim is also dumb for the fact both bands started around the same year. DEP has always played like this. JD aren't and influence on this band in any way.

  • no wai!!

  • the camera work sucks so badly... still this song kicks ass!

  • il like how aall the trashy comments get the most thumbs up and most mathcore fans are probably don't even know why they call it mathcore

  • they sound so, aweosomingly improvisational somehow. so fucking godlike

  • mathcore. the type of music for thrash metal musicians that take crystal meth.

  • 00:40 hahahah he does that in every video of this song live

  • YOU'RE AWESOME

  • lmao I love DEP but everyone in the crowd is like "Wow what the christ is going on"

  • pussy. "they are just screaming!" you sound like my 40 year old mother.

  • you don't know what you're saying man

  • hahaha. your a funny guy. have u seen them live in person, not on you tube. this guy is crazy live. like in a small venue, not a big fastival deal. you will get grabbed the mic thrown in your face, get ran on, and people will fly ontop of you. and you should know sound quality on live video's with band like dillinger or any heavy band it's gonna sound nothin like in person.

  • I saw them at a festival (roskilde) and dont tell me that only applies for small shows. :D

Ben jumped down with his knees first many times in the crowd knocking a girl out, they crawled around the sealing in the lights and knocked down the speakers in the sides (huge ass speakers) and yeah just fucking crazy stuff.

  • I saw 'em there last year too.. they were fucking incredible, Ben & Greg were in the crowd a couple of times, someone was knocked out by Greg I think, remember them being taken away by security and Greg going "I hope that fan had a fucking good time".. very good band

  • hahah no man theyre accually really amazing! imagane jumping up and down while playing jazz chords, pretty unique dude. they even did sth really funny but i cant write so long so yeah :p

  • ok thanx man i think i'll def go see em then...anyway all the vids i've seen of these guys live on you tube are fucking awesome so the people that said they were crap live probably don't understand DEP's music.

  • haha exactly ;)

  • wow how did u answer so fast lol?

  • hahah was on9 at the time lol

  • They are one the most intense acts I have ever seen. And Ive been to a decent amount of gigs.

  • yep. if you dont mind watching people going crazy on stage

  • Wow shit I was there! Three and a half years ago and I've never seen this video! Until now, that is.

  • honestly i dont get these guys. true they are all very talented and i like a couple parts of each song but not the song in entirety. it sounds like 15 riffs strung together in 20 diff tempos. kinda like a musical trainwreck. just an opinion tho

  • It might be beyond your comprehension. That's not an offense by the way.

  • Yeah, not to offend you, but you are not the "target market". You "hear" it, but don't "get" it, and that's ok. We hear it and get it. (check it, bro, no quotes!!. lol.)

  • that guy filming at 1:30 looks like Chino Moreno from Deftones !

  • best band ever seen!

  • someone who isn't a critical asshole please explain to me why this band is so famous.

  • i wouldn't say there famous.

  • i love DEP cuz they are incredibal musicians and especially how they stayed underground sine the begining

  • The new trend in metal is to be very technical, without having real song structures; also, the new wanna-be metal trend is metalcore. That's why Dillinger Escape Plan is so popular in the first place. Excellent musicians... and that's it.

  • Because they are technical. Most people who know music, knows about Dillinger weather they love them or hate them is a different thing. But they get respect because of their talent and ability to fucking shred their instruments, basically haha.

  • calculating infinity mainly

thats where all their best material lie and it has some of the more catchier song writing like 43% burnt or clip the apex

personally i wasnt a big fan of them with miss machine but when i heard calculating infinity's stuff i was fell in love

  • Legend.

  • the vocals dont sound like the album... his voice always sounds strained live

  • listen to Rob Zombie perform live and report back to us

  • i couldnt imagine seeing these crazy a**holes without getting the whole experience i.e. getting the crap beaten out of me.

  • hahaha! - - -[WORD!]

  • I wish I could play guitar that accurately

  • i think this is the only band that sounds great when they speed up. brag rights i guess

  • Uh, the "hardcore" chord you're speaking of is technically a diminished 2nd interval. It's actually used in a lot of music, but it's just accented a lot in "hardcore" within "breakdowns." Not very many bands like using this much dissonance, mostly because they know how, but if you want to hear that use them effectively, look up Botch, Converge, Apiary, and Further Seems Forever (yes, they use a lot of dissonance, except you don't notice it as it's part of a bigger chord).

  • Actually...that interval is not correct. The "hardcore" chord used is a tritone.

  • Actually, it's not. A tritone spans 3 whole notes. This is just 2, and furthermore isn't an augmented 4th or flatted 5th.

  • Yeh because when you notate it the Augmented 4th becomes a Natural right? I'm not too sure?

  • actually forget that i got confused with myself lol. *N00bd*

  • why argue music theory over the internet? why not just watch the video and enjoy the fucking music.

  • they're not called "Dischords" they're called Tritones... or "The Devil's Chord" (seriously, look it up)

  • if you think chris pennies job on this song was good, for those who havent heard it (shame on you haha) listen to 43% burnt.

    very good.

  • this performance is in holland

  • chris pennie is the fuckin' man, this song rox.

  • Freaking amazing... Chris Pennie deserves a trophy of some kind for playing this song.

  • Trivium are for wimps. Period. DEP! \m/

  • FUCK YEAH

  • Holy shit, I don't remember them sucking THAT much. Oh my God, their vocalist sounds terrible. And the guitarists really need to stop using that damn annoying new-hardcore chord.

  • you mean discords?

they aint hardcore chords they're used in quite a few classical pieces. However Dischords have a lot of different meanings.

They are basically the same as Diminished Chords.

  • Yes, dischords, I know. I just call it a hardcore chord because they seem to be bands that overuse it, and use it in a way that is most annoying. If they would only do it a couple times on a CD, during breakdowns, it would be cool. Ill Nino do it every once in awhile, and it sounds cool, because it hasn't been done 50 times already on the CD.

  • lol yeah it they are very overused especially by all these newer bands like bring me the horizon etc. it wouldnt surprise me if they started making songs using nothing but dischords lol

  • Moshing is for faggot highschool kids. You speak as though anyone standing still doesnt know who they're watching. Stupid twats.

  • Loving that most of the people in the crowd look as though they don't have a clue what the hell is going on...

    Great song.

  • Probably because this was performed before Miss Machine was released. Most people don't go over-the-top crazy when there's a song they've never heard being played.

  • I was there in the front... and I didn't have a clue what the hell was going on, never heard of them before, but now I have their entire discography... UNIQUE

  • This band just....sucks.

  • DEP are and will become one of the most influential band in the hardcore/metal scene... truly the best hardcore performers and most original musicians of their genre.

  • I got kicked in the nuts at a log show. I head butted the guy in the face and it sounded really crunchy.

  • I broke a rib in sweden when I watched "the haunted"

  • frän skit. lite bögig sång kanske.

  • trivium pit is for kids. i was in dillinger's pit last night and lamb of god's two weeks ago. it was insane

  • saw LOG in houston with slayer and bodom, and the whole standing section was a pit.

    got fucked uppp

  • cuckoo..., you are an idiot, i have seen loads of live performances of really heavy music in the usa, and no one moshes, here in the uk moshing is crazy, eg at download last year trivium who were first band on the mainstage started like 10 circles pits

  • haha NO SHIT Austin lol

  • This video is fucking amazing.

  • Why the fuck were you guys lookingat what the crowd was doing when you could have been watching The Dillinger Escape Plan?

    Fucking n00bs.

  • errr seriously europeans are mosh kings countrys like sweden live on metal

  • ooh my god..can it be better?

  • holy fuck that ruled

wish i could hear it a lil better

they always go so fast live!

  • Haha dumb Europeans dont know how to fuckin mosh..

  • Halleluja for ignorant americans!

  • Haha dumb human beings for actually moshing. Why can't people watch the group or just dance?

  • they can't dance to that, music normally has to be in 4/4 for you to dance and this is mathcore. although I agree with you when I first started to go to gigs is was in "The Pit" all the time then I realised wait I'm paying to see the band and just getting punched in the face while listening to their music and not actually watching the band....I could do that at home.

This comment is too long now lol.
