I dont think he touched a computer for the Micron. I own one of these, and the cables for the computer would be clearly visible on the back there.... I don't mess with computers myself when playing, I'm just saying this because the Alesis Micron has many features for saving and mixing on it's own.

I used a Boss Loop Pedal to record each phrase over the others. The pedal also provides the backing drums.

Yeah, I've defiantly heard that the Alesis is better. I only have the Korg, and it's ok, but this synth seems like a much better deal at that price. Don't let all the knobs on the Korg fool you; simple is sometimes better.

Also, be sure to check eBay for some deals on this keyboard. Looks like theres a couple auctions going right now new for around 330.

Agreed. The microkorg is a much simpler synth anyway. It has more knobs but far less parameters.
