@janfredriklarsen Petter Solberg has the record from 2004, so he's clearly on of the fastest but I think that Marcus Gronholm is the fastest man driven that stage. 2007 he got almost the same time as Petter with 3 chicanes where the speed dropped almost to zero. And the chicanes were in the fastest sections of Ouninpohja.

To me, Rally Finland is to Rally what Spa is to F1. Neither are big glitz and glamor events that bring the stars out, but they are venues that test the limits of mechanical and human precision and endurance. Moreover both can be encapsulated in one word that true motorsports fans will understand right away.

Truly Finland is a measuring stick to which all other rally events are compared to, and most fall short of, if only because Finland sets such a ridiculously high precedent.

I think the most famous is Col de Turini in MonteCarlo's Rally. But Ouninpohja ss it's for brave men...

@Sukatonen Col de Turini is nice peace of road but going flat-out in Ouninpohja... that's a rush, you are going faster on gravel there than you are going in most tarmac races.
