the cities are dangerous, but the angel falls is just nature, you can take a plane to caracas, stay in caracas 1 or 2 nights for the angel fall arrangements, then take a plane to canaima national park, you start the trip on river to the angel falls, or hiring a small plane to fly over the angel falls, besides you can do a lot of excursions in the national park, just adventurous, you can be 1 week at the national park and 5 days then on margarita island, then go back home.

It's not just the waterfall that's amazing, it's the bunch of tepuyes (flat topped mountains) that make that place so magical. It's like a different world. I'm half Venezuelan and I haven't been there but I've promised my self to go before I die.
