Used to live in a semi-detached growing up, I think these peopel were our neighbours, what a racket all day long with that damn squeeze box and kids yelling a the top of their lungs. I think they ended up moving to Germany.

In this video Danial is a old fasion teacher and not a father. And if you want to learn something it is not always the right way to do it gentle. Ofcourse in the current time me and many others would do this in a differant way. But it was a differant time. But that says nothing or at least not everything about how he was as a father so don't judge him if you do not fuly untherstand what is going on. I am sure if they did not study this way we could not listen to their beautiful music, with love

well yes they had a wonderful childhood,but verbal abuse is not the answer. when someone messes up like johnny did,they learn to just go with the flow and continue. The you idiot comment could have been spared,but that's how dan was i guess. i cannot change what happened,but it was certinally not nice.

I don't condone anyone being an alcoholic... I do know it takes alot of time, training and at times be driven hard to be the best of the best when it comes to singing for a living!! It prepares you for how hard it can get on the road and traveling. Thank God they had each other and didn't have to do it alone as an only child or only 2 or 3  siblings cause then you would have alot of lonliness!!!

But I think this training is too hard for the children... it's true, they are really honest workers! I' very proud of them.

maybe you are right...but losing your wife and being on your own with so many kids ... I think he handled it the best way he was able to. his kids did quiet well in life though they were in the music buisiness since they did their first steps.

He was alcoholic at the time...and became sober after the mother died.

Well, everyone has their own story and their own package to carry. No-one is without faults.

Anyways, he suppported his kids and really believed in them. ALL the kellys speak with high respect and love of their Dad.  That's quite an achievement.
