We have similar textures and excited that we have another style to play with...whoever feel like stating textures is a "good hair" "bad hair" obviously have issues with their own or simply don't have a club what their talking about. Go plant your seed somewhere else sweety...
This is my regimine too. It seems to work for me. I haven't used a penman brushed yet, I use a paddle brush right after I put in knot today. Going to upload a video to show the results too. Good luck!

4b is curly hair. It's just a tighter curl. Just don't comb it (use your fingers alot) and your curls will stand out more because combs just make it look puffy!

For those that don't believe she has 4C hair look at her "Natural 4C Hair Wet" video. Look at the texture of her hair without any product in it. She gives you a close up....I have been natural for 9yrs and have that "tighly coiled, nappy, kinky, Lord I can't do nothing with it" hair. After years of experimenting I realized certain products helped me to elogate the curl somewhat and achieve this look. 4C natural hair can be beautiful too. Don't believe the LYE!!!
Yeah, that eco styler is no joke...I would never have believed my hair could curl until I tried it. Never in my ligfe has my 4c hair curled till it met eco styler gel :)
I agree with MerryJ3000. My hair looks like that and I consider my hair 4b. Maybe you had to do more for it to get curly, because you do such a variety of styles and your hair just isn't used to being curly. I just started wearing my hair and it's kinda short, so all I do is wash, condition, detangle with my fingers in the shower, rinse out the conditioner and then put a leave in when I get out...and it looks like that every day. Got the idea from cynthiarf video about figercombing

I thought the same thing until reading her comment about what she did to get the curls. Most people probably aren't saying that bc it's looks good. Any curl pattern (or lack of) can look good and any pattern can look bad. I saw a girl with terrible looking 2 hair the other day. Shoot, I have at least one bad hair day a week myself!
Cute style! I don't like wash n go's mostly because of the shrinkage, but if I can get mines stretched out like yours that would be wonderful. Question, how do you tie your hair up at night? My silk bonnet is too small for my hair now and it just smashed it down way too much.

I only have this success with puffs and the ECO olive oil gel, but it is only after I rinse her puff with cool water - otherwise it just looks like white sticky stuff. YUCK! Beautiful! BTW, from this video, your hair looks nothing like 4c, it looks like 4b. 4c hair will never have that type of curl definition, stretch, or movement. Most 4c's have a z-pattern texture with TONS of shrinkage, no matter what product or style they use. Just something to think about. Great video, MJ
@MerryJ3000 My hair has no curl pattern when wet. Look at my wet hair video. Anyway, using these two products I created a curl pattern. It took a lot of manipulation and twisting in sections that still didn't curl. Then I blow dried. The low heat stretched my hair. And who said 4c hair can't have movement? Not true. Moisture + length = Movement. If it's super windy and your hair is not moving I would question the moisture level of the hair, not the texture. Moisture adds weight to the hair.

@mommyanme Lol. I did say that. I always hated wash n go's. But with the products I used my hair wan't crunchy. It was soft with a medium hold. My hair didn't have the gummy feeling or white stuff either. But wash n' go's don't last that long. And the curls don't look as good on day 3 and 4.
