  • BillyBoy is the name of my gingercat

  • beautiful

  • This is a fascinating demo musical piece! I'm so glad that 'Take a Chance on Me' emerged as the dominant tune etc. Very interesting to listen to - thank you!

  • I think that in a moment .. actually it is better than "take a chance on me", but the ritm is not finished, maybe Benny did not know how to finish this version, and thats the reason that "take a chance on me" was born.

  • sounds like "Take a chance on me"

  • @corrupt200 it was made for take a chance on me.

  • @corrupt200

Billy boy was a demo taped in the "The album" - Sessions. Later it became Take a chance on me ;D

  • Pick up a copy of Opus 10 (if you can get it) and check out the sleeve notes to this ditty ...... all explained in full.

  • This, to my knowledge is ABBA in studio practicing for, or over-dubbing music onto an excerpt from their live tour from 1979 - for release on their "ABBA Live" album in 1986.

However it is more likely that this is just practice.

  • If this is the old folk song, where is the melody that everybody knows? This is the first time I had heard it this way! Now this is true modern.

  • Cool clip

  • It almost sounds like something you'd hear on Rockford Files or A-Team.

  • Extremely cool!EXTREMELY COOL!! Love it:D thanks for shareing, my friend!

  • So this is Billy Boy that I've heard about.

If this is by ABBA, then what was the Billy Boy that Agnetha sang when she was 5 and her pants fell down!?!?!?

  • Oh well spotted. It's just a coincindental title. Agnetha's Billy Boy was a completely different song.

  • Oh. Is Agnetha's Billy Boy on youtube?

  • I don't think she was being filmed at the time. I have never heard the 'Billy Boy' song that she sang.

  • Oh. OK. Thanks anyway!! :)

    Helen

  • The Billy Boy Agnetha was talking about is the old folk song. "Oh, where have you been,Billy boy, Billy boy?...

  • OK thanks. Is that on youtube do you know?

    thanks. Helen

  • well done on this it is unmistakably take a chance on me in it earliest form :)

  • I love it.

    This is really good.

ABBA did so many great things, and this video brings out the best in them.

    Nice job.

I also hear Take A Chance On Me in the song.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • You've done this very well Alex. Take A Chance On Me is clearly distinguishable in embryo form.
