guitar hero has better instruments. the rock band guitar is too stiff and awkward. the strum bar is a piece of crap. the drums aren't terrible except it's pretty much impossible to do a 16th note roll. the GHWT drums are more realistic and the pads are higher quality.

i have both games and i think GH and RB are both great but i mostly play RB now because of the amazing dlc and how fun it is to play. i like playing GH but i dont have fun playing cuz it has way overcharted songs that places my fingers in awkward positions. RB owns GH

Both Games have ups and downs. Rock Band has a much better and more diverse setlist, but is lacking in create a character "wich to me dosn't matter how my characters eyebrows are tilted, but i guess GH thinks they need to worry about little things like that" But GH has Beat It, which i'd pretty much buy the game just for that.

i personally like the guitar in GH cause the guitar has more of "precise note sheet" which means that in GH, you're playing the same number of notes you would play in a real guitar.

RB ends with 3 notes while GH ends with 2. I kinna know how to play this song in a real guitar and the notes on GH are right where they should be.

RB2 by far has a more accurate note sheet. never will you see a guitarist hold down a note and play others if theres another guitarist that can play the held note. that and guitar hero adds unneeded notes. its just annoying to play a greenx3 then out of no where a unneeded orange. its more annoying when you can play the song on a guitar and then you play it on GHWT and they add a note thats not there.

I have to agree that GH is more difficult but Rb sticks with the structure of the song and I prefer the charts. I think hammer ons are better done in RB than GH. Also I think the sliding thing screwed everything in GH:WT if they wanted to put it they should have done it in the begining on GH1 not now where everyone is already kinda used to the old system.

I have to go with Rock Band overall. While Guitar Hero is better for difficulty, Rock Band keeps to the song structure most of the time. And it bases difficulty on how hard the song really is to play.
