@goldenismonica news flash, the nigerians in the rap game right now, even the ones that have never stepped a foot in american tend get their style from african americans, hell, tell me a group or race of people that don't emulate them. Stop hating on tha brotha he lived in the states most of his life anyway what do u expect.
@goldenismonica I'm not talkin of him living in the states I'm talk about that bullshit statement u said, "if he wants to be american and put on that type of act," like there's no Nigerians in america that don't embrace american culture. I myself was raised around Nigerians, whites, and blks (mostly blks) so how is someone gonna put on a front when he is forced to blend in. If u really wanna preserve the culture then stay and live in Nigeria, don't knock this guy.
his music is still very americanized. i understand the fact that he spent a good portion of his life in the states, but he is in naija now with a NAIJA audience.
i didnt say there arent any Nigerians in America that don't embrace American culture, but HE IS IN NAIJA! that is his target market, that his his audience. im sure you get my drift.
U see all of u hating,I swear u are the most Useless ppl on earth do u think anyone cares about ur opinion, the boi is doing his thing.U have all wanted to make ur parents happy and in tur made urselves miserable,he has done wat u guyz have failed to do.
I thought this interview was great:) Pretty much every nigerian-american has been in mildly uncomfortable situations like this with their parents or elders... definitely empathized with him. I dunno how you can watch this interview and not like him.
how do u "act" african? can you pls stop this nonsense. we nigerians out of nigeria do not need to act african idiot. we simply are nigerian, if you cant find constrcutive criticisms, it makes u seem like enemy of progress. please curb it already
I can dig him with the Nigerian----African\Roots s*** but he too cocky like niggaz in the U.S. be on his dick. He not fuqin with Cys, Reed, Reign Man, or Cass. He not even fuqn with Busta Rhymes!lolz
Soo. We don't care. Our rappers ain't like ya'lls cause dey are not gangsters. Dey didn't grew up that way and dey ain't never gonna be dat way. They grew up wit Nigerian persepective and in Nigeria, we see that gangsta life as a fucked up life, we don't glorify it like you americans do. So of course they ain't gonna act like ya'll rappers.
Im not saying at all that American rappers are Gangsters. Hip hop doesn't particularly come from gangster roots, it's more of a pride thing. Nas isn't a gangster and he is above Sauce kid on all kinds of levels.
Commonis an amazing lyricist and he doesn't go around waving his gun in the air. Kanye is a pussy but his flow is amazing so gangster has nothing to do with being an M.C.
it doesnt mean anything, he juss made it up, if u watch the second part of this show, the women asked him wut it meant and he replied; nothing. juss a cool slang he madde up
if he wants to be so "american" and put on that type of act, then he should go and try to be a rapper in America.
im sure the REAL DEAL rappers in America would chew him alive and spit him back out.
thats why he had to run back to Nigeria where he knows a lot of people will idolize his character and personality.
i like his music, but he is trying WAY too hard. this is naija for crying out loud.
