they must have had DBs practice certain points because a lot of them looked uncomfortable with how they were set up and looks like what caused them to miss coverage. For me, if the WR is faster than I am [a lot faster, not just a little] I would stay 1-2 yards back, if he is slower or as fast me, take it from the line and jam. It looked like some of these guys would rather be a few yards back.

Don't back peddle yourself out of a play, remember your two slide read steps and then lock on to back peddle. The read steps will keep you in a position to make a break on short routes. Just two slide steps and the receiver will be about to break into his route and you can see the quarterback as well. As a corner you only have to steps to play safety and then you transition.
