a) in section 246(143) of H.R. 3200 states illegals will be prohibited from health care. however it also states that an idividual dose not have to prove his or her citizenship to obtain healthcare. you wouldnt need a background check, just proof of legal citizenship.
(b) on page 133 the bill states if one member in family is covered all members are covered. so if an illegal family sneeks into the U.S. and has a kid the whole family is covered

the bill is not intended to cover illegal immigrants, however the issue is it is to difficult to prevent some of them from gaining from it. thats the bottom line. if it passes even though its intentions are legit, it will help aliens.

First of all, the bill says nothing about covering aliens. So Congressman Wilson had no right to even say something like that.
Secondly, I agree with McCain that it was totally disrespectful to say something like that to the President, or to anybody for that matter.

a) in section 246(143) of H.R. 3200 states illegals will be prohibited from health care. however it also states that an idividual dose not have to prove his or her citizenship to obtain healthcare. you wouldnt need a background check, just proof of legal citizenship.
(b) on page 133 the bill states if one member in family is covered all members are covered. so if an illegal family sneeks into the U.S. and has a kid the whole family is covered

Your points sound like an attempt to just find flaws in the system. Obviously the plan is not perfect. And also the illegal immigrant thing is just something that is hard to prevent... so I'm not saying that your points are not valid, I just believe that the plan does not support giving aliens health care.

cjlawton23 before Obama signs this Bill the specifics will be ironed out. Bottom line is that we can't afford to pay for illegals nor do we want to -AND we're not going to. Wilson did not use freedom of speech. He was censured for his disrespecting the highest office in the world & slandered our President. No where in Democrat wording does it state that illegal immigrants will have access to health care coverage. It only states "Americans" & "legal immigrants." That' it -so you're correct. They're trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Also MSNBC showed a news clip of Wilson supporting illegal immigrant health care which he voted for & it' still in effect. I wonder what they have to say about that? haha
