Oh yeah...wow..I remember that...that was the night I got abducted. They just ran some basic tests on me. I they made sure not to hurt me. They fed me well, even gave me beautiful sexaliens for companionship ...I wish they let me stay with them, but they brought me back the next day. They are very friendly,we should not be afraid of them. I hope I get to see them again someday...the awesome.

I saw something in the sky again last night or should I say early this morning. 22 Jan 12 between 4:30 and 5:00 in the morning. I was just looking up at the sky at the stars and when I looked at a star to my left this light shot upward beside it and then stopped, then it continued up again for an equal distance same as before and then it stopped again. It then started to climb into the sky again and kept going until I could not see it at all. Straight up, stopping dead twice is what got me.

Has anybody noticed anything over the past 2 weeks off of highway 102. I have seen something in the sky there and it follows me from Shubie all the way to woodland Ave in Dartmouth. It is white with no coloured lights. It can change direction quite quickly as well. Much faster than the airplanes that can be seen out there too.

@snake5003 The spotlights from the Dome appeared on the other side of my building, aren't nearly as bright and move in a pattern. Definitely not the light from the bar.

Yesterday (August 30th) I seen what looked like a huge fireball (Way bigger than a firework) head straight to the earth then suddenly disappeared. But the way it disappeared confused me. It either burnt out, or suddenly changed directions so fast that it made such a weird shape as it vanished. I usually dismiss things right away because of all the stupid fireworks and planes but this time i'm confused!! Has anyone else seen something like this?

OK i have seen something on Saturday, Aug 27th and something last night Aug 29th over Dartmouth... this is very similar to what i have seen...it was Not a helicopter or airplane...it was 20x larger than any other star in the sky and it was low..it stayed in place for several hours and then moved to a different place in the sky...thanks for posting this video and for the other comments...i know now that i am not the only one who has seen this!! thank you

hi there, I have a similar experience in Dartmouth - mine occurred when taking out the trash after losing a bet with my roommate at the time. On my last trip up the back stairs I was about to light a smoke and this bright yellow disk was right over the harbor. It was coming towards Dartmouth and flew right over me very slowly. The thing was a disk shaped object that was extremely bright yellow. I could see a dome on top. Im a computer analyst who takes things like this seriously. thx 4 sharing

get over it. its damn light in the sky, ppl have seen lights in the sky forever. its man made, aliens would not float in plain site glowing like las vegas so ppl can run around with video cameras shitting themselves, and then not make contact. if it is a legit ufo its government or military. governments do shifty things on a day to day basis. ppl put all this time and effort into this crap when they should really question why governments screw us and take away our freedoms and make ufo's.

again its probably military of some sort, whether classified or not. i seen a bright light overhead in truro just 2 nights ago. it was below the cloud cover and it was gone just seconds later. If it was a UFO, you honestly believe in a city the size of the Halifax municipality, that no one else would seen it from a closer angle or reported it to any number of law enforcement agencies, the evening news or even the herald? I'm sure that there's a completely logical. Explanation that doesn't involve conspiracies or unclassified documents. There's a shipyard right there it could of been from a shipping crane or anything more logical than a UFO.

I know another poster suggested a plane or helicopter but it's not. I watch out that window daily and know the flight paths over the basin, it's not hard to determine. Also, working in shipbuilding, including with the Canadian Navy & oil platforms, I know what planes and helicopters look like coming directly at me.

@Trigger200284 Also, the camera is definitely not Fisher-Price. It's a 14 megapixel with HD video recording, which that video was recorded, most of it shot zoomed in which is why it appears fuzzy. Are you aware that the US NSA & FBI are releasing some of their findings of UFOs and that Canada has already disclosed all of their documents? A simple Google search will bring all of those official gov`t websites up. No one here is going to call you down for being athiest, so leave us be.

I do regularly see airplanes flying over the bedford basin area as well and I've worked here for the last 4 years. Sometimes a plane coming straight at you appears to be stationary then it veers off toward the airport and appears to vanish.

Flight paths vary based on wind and weather conditions so you may not see this all the time however, it is more common that you may think.

Now, if you examine the city lights they are also flickering, because of the camera. So hard to tell exactly what light is really being emitted from the object.

I'm curious as when this was taken (time of night). I have a telescope and other stuff I'd be interested in using if any of these things become common occurrence.

I live in Halifax and have for some time, used to live in Fairview on Vimy actually, very close to where this was shot obviously.

Planes and helicopters do fly over this area quite regularly, approaching the airport, and also military aircraft.

Now, none of these craft emit light like shown in this video. Also, by comparison this is not moving, and aircraft that come by here are moving. No stars are easily visible on the horizon like this. Hard to tell with the quality of the cam

@DevastatioN1337 You know, I rarely see a plane or helicopter in that area.  Might be the angle that I'm looking or the time of day and the few that I do see are never that low in the sky. It was taken at 9:45pm and was the 2nd time I've seen it. The first time was at 5:15am and it looked exactly the same, in the same spot and was gone literally in the blink of an eye. A friend of mine has seen it as well on different days but she hasn't been able to catch a recording of it (yet).

@DevastatioN1337 Good idea about the telescope. I'd say keep an eye on that area and you might see something. If you do, please let me know. To the naked eye, it looked like a very bright white light that would turn to oranges and yellows. There was no flashing or blinking like a plane or helicopter. It was quite an interesting sight and worth watching for.

@loagun Absolutely positive. This video was copied by another user and edited down to 54 seconds. I have the original still on the memory card in my camera. What you're looking at is the MacDonald Bridge in Halifax and the container yard off of Joseph Howe Dr. It's hard to see but that's where it is. I live on the top of a hill in the Fairview/Clayton Park area of Halifax and that video was shot by me from my bedroom window.

@loagun The user also uploaded the edited video to disclose.tv without permission from me. Complaints have been filed to youtube as well as disclose.tv. Although the image isn't copyrighted, it was still proprietary and used without permission. If he wanted to link back to this video or at least include the story of how it was filmed, I wouldn't care but he didn't. Rather, he copied it, edited it and posted it as his own sighting.

I've seen one, but at a higher altitude... mine was November 2010. I was a mile in land, so I'd say it was over the water, off the coast of Long Island, New York. It's a glistening or color changing light hovering in the sky... I'm almost sure it's not military in that airspace, and too high for search/police/news helecopters. a friend and I watched it for about 30 mins, and decided we did'nt know what it was, but you got video of the same thing.

well i lived in halifax for 3 years, i now live in truro, having walked over the bridge every night on my way home from work in dartmouth i can tell you most likely it has something to do with the navy or the coast gaurd. most likely a helicopter since i know you were staring at the harbour because you mentioned the towers downtown. likely a spot light on a helicopter. On top of me not believing in alien - human contact, i find it hard to believe they would be interested in Halifax N.S. in 2011

@Trigger200284 I'm actually looking toward the container yard, downtown would be more toward the right and there is a house in my way to see that direction. The towers I'm talking about are cellular towers as well as the cranes in the container yard. Living on a hill I see any planes/helicopters, military or otherwise, when they come through this area and they are very distinct in their sound. Also, spotlights would and could not remain so stationary for the length of time it was there.

Got my eyes on the sky now to see if I can catch it again and maybe get a better video. I sent a report to NUFORC to see if they could provide an answer. I'll update if I hear anything from them.
