It's probably rubbish, but once in a while something odd is found. Cabazon, at least is relatively close to the ocean, 100 miles +-, but the Grand Canyon and ancient Egyptians...utter fantasy.

Besides the written article mentioned here, there are according to 1 of Children’s books, also Area's in Southern USA that have Egyptian names, if that is true, then the news story mentioned, would be more believable, but i cant remember which book it was. Back when i read his book was a time when i had very little money, so i used the local library for books, unlike today, i buy books and keep them for future reference. Interestingly though, science does not show similiar Dna from Eygyptiants to Native American, Haplo Groups, the only connection is to Asian Haplogroups,
unless, we once more are not getting the whole story. It seems to me if the Egyptians were here at the same time as Native American then we would see some bearded Caucasoid features at least on occasion w/in the sothwestern N.A., and we do not., so perhaps they were here before .

I'm not surprised. The civilization we call "Egypt" had a worldwide empire similar to the British, Egypt was just one of their largest nation-states to leave ruins that survive to this day. Same with Sumer, and they largely wiped one another out in an ancient super-war (the real World War I) which is now completely forgotten.

If it isn't a hoax, there could be a special reason for them journeying to that exact spot, something to do with Ley lines or an ancient centre for worship or study.
