  • How could they shut the bells off on teardrop bells? That's only ONE reason why I hate CSX!

  • @177987auprr1 Teardrops?? Those are WRRS MIni Bells

  • @Crossingman18 Oops, my mistake. I meant to say how could they shut the bells off when the gates close on mini bells!

  • @177987auprr1 well good sir, if you go to New Library Ave Day, You'll find a mini bell that rings all the way from start up to shut down! Problem is it only works half the year, its frozen in the winter

  • It's the best for the last!

  • WOW, This Crossing Looks So Much diffrent Today. The Building To The Right Is Long Gone, And It's Just A Field. You Can See The Crossing Along Troy ST.

  • @skyman2002 I figured that building would sooner or later dissappear. It was old, decaying, and likely a place where gangs hang out and do their deals. Has the crossing at all changed? This crossing is one of my favorites as it looks so old school.

  • did u ever get video of the teardrop bell in brunswick on the harding road?

  • @jtd321 sadly I didnt. The chances of getting that teardrop were very slim as it only gets 2 daily trains. My car was really beginning to have large mechanical failures as summer approached. It was 2 days after I got this crossing the car finally kicked the bucket. When I return to Maine in 2 years, I will likely return to that crossing to see if the ol thing is still there.

  • @Crossingman18 I saw it in may and it was still there. But i think that is the line that Amtrak is going to use, and if it is they will most likely take it out.

  • @jtd321 Yes I do believe Amtrak will be using the line once that situation is all taken care of, but chances are they wont touch the crossing as there's not a lot of traffic going in and out of there to really add new signals. I bet you anything they will leave the crossing alone, but then again, the crossings deep in bath near the Maine Eastern station in Bath were upgraded for no reason back in 2007, so only time will tell my friend.

  • is Panam a regional railroad?

  • @firealarm719 Pan AM has taken over the entire Guilford Rail System Line that stretches all the way from New York to New Brunswick. I really wouldn't call it a regional as it stretches across multiple states.

  • @Crossingman18 it looks like i got a new favoret railroad.

  • I saw 353 the other day at odlin road in bangor and i think they have replaced the horn, i did not sound so squeaky and high pitched as it was in the video.

  • i hope u can visit maine sometimes

  • @trainlover479 in a year or 2 I will return to maine and spend some time there getting more maine videos and perhaps making a Volume 2, but as for now, these are just great memories of the fun times.

  • I like it when the bells ring when the gates go up. Cool vid.

  • nothing like 2 WRRS Mini bells that ring very well together to say farewell to Maine for a few years.

  • Loco 353 is now one of oly 2 guilford engines in CT pretty cool seeing it out of Plainville, CT

  • veryy. entertaining

  • Guilford MEC 379 is last loco in that line up and its the lead loco in my video

  • Did you move to Florida? Is that why this is your last Maine Vid?

  • Yes. This is why this is posted my last video in Maine.

  • I like very long Union Pacific freight trains.

  • That crossing would be perfect if it had wishbone gates, swivel gate lights and stop flashers. Lantern gate lights are swivel gate lights that don't swivel.

  • i have never seen a wishbone gate. do you have any vids with one?

  • No.

  • oh ok. well if you find a vid with wish bone gates, let me know

  • Awesome!!!!!!!

  • Wait a minute. Aren't you going back to Maine in about 2 years?

  • Yes. Sometime around that margin. I plan to work for Guilford!

  • Which City, or town, was this in?

  • Auburn, Maine

  • OK, and I presume that's not close to Bangor, Maine.

  • not even close. It's about a 3 hour drive from Auburn to Bangor Without Traffic delays.

  • OK, good to know

  • I AM SO HAPPY!! GREAT JOB!! *****

  • Holy shit nice gate lights!!!!!!

  • those would be the rare WRRS Lantern Gate Lights.

  • I remember before the Skokie Swift crossing project, a few crossings had that.
