  • In the tradition of jazz greats like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, John McLaughlin, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, Joe Zawinul ....just to name a few. A guitar virtuoso.

  • Visions.....BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you.

  • can you please change the title of the video to "Visions" with an 's' on the end???

  • one of a kind guitar for one of a kind man.

  • 1:16

How did he got that weird organ sound from his guitar?

  • @LinkBulletBill sounds n looks like hammer n pull offs

  • Well more specifically around 1:17 to 1:18...

That weird sound as if someone was on organ and through his hand from the middle of the keyboard to the bottom lower half but with low volume. I'm trying to describe... It's hard to explain! Lol... It doesn't really look like hammerons and pulloffs.

  • @z2yu he's doing the melody in stacked 4ths, and using TONS of hammers and pulloffs, but he's also doing the whole melody as 4th intervals using mini-barres of all 4 fingers, if needed

  • wow...

  • @LinkBulletBill--wowo this cat reminds me of the J McGlaughlin album with "Arten's bag" and "Peace Piece" I think Tony Oxley played drums and some wild sounding sax player on it. This guy is great.

  • Yes, there he is... Lenny, one of my guitar idols... Check him out doing his version of Mercy Mercy Mercy... I already know about John. He's in the trio with Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia. He's great too, but the songs you mentioned are unfamiliar to me, checking 'em out.

  • @3rdStoneObliterum ya, the album is called "Extrapolation" and it is one of my faves too!

  • you just know this ugly bald mofo got laid all the time

  • Lenny was truly a great guitarist, one of the best, and i think he does deserve his place among the best guitarist out there. His harp harmonics are amazing, a true master of this technique, second to none. i've watched this dvd a hundred times and i always seem to pick something out that i seem to miss before lol. youtube is helping him get a little more know to the mainstream public i think. i'm gonna try to up a few more of his vids soon, thanks for the post ♫♫♫

  • @z2yu I totally agree with you! I grew up in Maine and was fortutate to study guitar with his brother Denny and brother-in-law Marc Jalbert in my teens! Lenny was truly a genious with the guitar!

  • Thanks for uploading this video because there is so little video material about Lenny Breau.

Lenny Breau deserves his place among the best guitarplayers in the world and his harmonic interpretations are from another world.

This man knows what it means to take a very deep dive into music.

Thanks to youtube he gets well known by other people, too late but better late than never.
