Anyone out there recall the recorded interview broadcast by WDET,early 80's, an older gentleman recalls Hastings Street & Black Bottom, from the 20's-50's? Few things were as riveting and firing of the imagination as that interview was! Some one must have a copy of it some place! It was like someone filling in all the gaps of the Detroit Counts "Hastings Street Opera"-"Joe's Record Shop/He got everybody in there except T-Bone Steak".

My great uncle died back in 2004. The stories he told me about searching for "weenie butts"during the great depression.
