First of all i downloaded ProcessTamer. Then in this program i changed "Explict Rule" near PnkBstrB.exe process from --- to "Force High". And that worked! :D

Just went to the battlefield 2142 download theres a tool to uninstall and reinstall punk buster called pbsvc. as shown above dont know why its not in the badcompany 2 section. thanks grifgrif1

I quit playing 2142 because of the punkbuster problem. I sure wish I'd seen this video before. I got rid of my computer and moved from the U.S. to Italy. I only use a laptop now but after seeing this, I may just get a new gaming pc and get back to the battlefield. Thanks for the info!! Cheers!!

@rickboy89 dont you think its a virus or something ? Did you try reinstalling your windows system ? Because i play Battlefield 1942 , Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 and never had any problems , you better try playing your games at the minimum graphics , turn them to low because when you try to play on high the information gets transmited too slowly when you start the game online , thats why punkbuster goes crazy and send those failure messages , never play on high , neither medium ...

@fighterbruno no its not a virus.. i know computers enough. but yeah 2142 will not run on windows 7 64bit. it works with 32 bit after installing older punkbuster programs.. but i always run every game to the max. i remember 2142 wouldnt do wide to 1980x1080 resolution but i found a way to tune it to it.. i have extra harddrives and when i boot up i can choose the OS. thanks for replying everyone but its been a while i solved and play all my games maxed no prob

vista users and windows 7 users should install the game and patches in xp -modus and as administrator.

you can do so by right clicking on the setup.exe

choose properties and check the boxes for admin and xp mode.

after install run the game as administrator ,

by checking the box on the shortcut to the game .

but DONT run the game on xp mode after installation..

just run it normal.

and i need to know if another service on your pc , like for example a driver for a macro keybord is causing the pb kicks.

some servers dont allow you to play with a macro key bord .

hi i have updated farcry to the latest version and when i go to play online every server says it had 9999 ping. but when i try to join any game just when it looks like its about to load it says

download this program and reinstall punkbuster

"PBsvc" you can google it,but i will send you the link in a pm.

Allow PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe in your windows firewall.(PBsvc is suppose to be doing this for you)

You can find them both in C:windows/system 32

and check if your virus program has a firewall in it .

if so you got to allow PnkBstrA & B also in there.

if you go to a folder, you can click on extra and choose mapoptions .

go to mapoptions and check the box that says

show hidden folders.

Because the PnkBstrK.sys file is hidden.

its located in C:Documents and settings/UserName/Application Data/PnkBstrK.sys

Allow this file in your windows firewall and anti virus firewall.

and

click on the file and chose properties.

check the box for administrator. it would also help if you put the file on your user name .

just get the right videocard with the right directx version on it

and update your punkbuster with pbsvc & pb setup

windows xp users :get a directx 9.0c card

vista users need a directx 10 compatible card

windows 7 users need a new directx 11 card

ati radeon has a nice cheap and fast directx 11 card at the moment

your kicks is caused by another problem

the punkbuster sees a program running on your system in the background and it doesnt allow this program to run with bf2 .

it probably thinks its a cheat program or driver .

i think you might have a macro keybord

you can test if this is the problem by looking into your taskmanager and stop all programs running under your user name 1 by 1 .

then you find out which 1 is causing the kick .

ill bet its your keybord driver

like said its not sure its the driver of the keybord .

if you want to be sure ,and you cant find it .

then simply uninstall the cd of the keybord .

and if that didnt work it sure is another process that runs on your user name

just open task manager go to processes

and close down 1 program that runs under your user name and try the game .

if that failed .

then stop the next process under your name .

untill you found the right.

if you do have a macro keybord .

it is probably the reason the punkbuster says disallowed program driver

you can still use the keybord as normal .

just close the driver in taskmanager that runs the macros on the keybord and the keybord will be reconised as a normal one .

if it aint the problem just close 1 by 1 the programs running under your user name and you eventually will see which program is disturbing the game .

remember to stop a program 1 at the time. and start the game .

Nope its still random, I can log on some servers and play and pooooof the next day cant game at all on any servers... No one has given me any idea so far that I havent tried allready. Most anyone I talk to just say the same stuff that dont work. Nad PB isnt helpfull at all.

I just found the solution.

I bought a new gaming PC started over and poof problem solved. The Old PC will now be used for webdesign and email.... lol No one has the answer for PB errors, Ive spent over 3 months looking for the solution. and believe me Ive tryed everything. PB is Garbage and there needs to be a better solution. EA should dump the junk or solve the issues.

i've been testing every windows 7 build numbers for the last few weeks .

i've read so many comments and solutions .

some will work ,for others they will not work .

hers my conclusion and why you confirmed it

i found out in the test logs that the driver punkbustrk.sys located in C;windows/system 32 drivers/drivers. has a read error.

and that is whats making everyone get kicked on w7 .

i think we need

directx11 grafics card instead of 10

you think that someday PC's will be simple? seriously, there is no reason that any of this shit should be happening, the people at Punkbuster should use their brains and be like "Ok, so let's ignore programs like WindowBlinds, and go and talk to the people at Microsoft, and make sure everything is compatible on their end" instead of just saying fuck it, and letting us fuck around with it.
