  • Start making notes for yourself... WIN

  • everything boils down to self control?

  • Awesome vid.

  • The reference to RSD made you a complete legend. That has hugely helped me as well.

  • thanks, its time for a change i will act not tomorrow not later but NOW

  • Tyler Durdes also said: "Self-Improvement is masturbation. Now, self-destruction.."

  • right he said that and it was a movie. a stupid movie. explain to me what that quote even means? it's fvcking empty, overrated, and stupid

  • haha bitches voted me down, yet nobody explained it. here's a big FUK YOU to you bitches

  • Why would the information provided by a practitioner be guaranteed as accurate, it is up to you to decide wheter its accurate or not, psychology has many contradictive theories , and medicine is not always perfect, if u wanna have a through idea on what you are getting use their advice (irony^^) and go read instead of appearing wise , after you research come to your own conclusion , personally i've been doing self development for years and i'm glad i found I-POWER recently !! =) props guys ;)

  • the problem is that this information is not given by a doctor or psychologist so we don't know if this information is good and correct to believe

  • How ironic... the guys that always kept me motivated to play WoW and become better at it actually demotivate me the most to play the game now. You guys came hard as a brick in this vid. Props

  • hey

  • Kurt Vonnegut: Mother Night - Great book that's main idea is what this clip is about. I recommend it for ones who are interested in this topic and like black humor(black!).

"We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be."

  • @zeyee you'r? loolz

  • hah, its Pro, Tommy and the Tiger says it xD, but hey, its true... i rather achive something than to aim way to high and get nothing then just aim higher next time :))

  • this is awsome

  • THis video f'in rocks, I agree with the fact that modern society is based alot on feeling. I know as far as myself if i don't feel like doing something then i don't and by watching this i've decided to do things not based on feeling but based on how important it is to my life and how much it needs to be done.

  • This one was really amazing guys. It's very much the embodiment of I Power. PUT YOUR VISION INTO PRACTICE.

  • This has put me back on the straight and narrow. Im gonna make to do list now i think :D

    ty guys

  • I disagree about the idea that you are what you do. It might be part of your identity, but for me it seems like a very limiting concept.

  • I think it's true, no-one see's the inside of you, only what your actions are. So what you can do to change your outward identity is to change your actions. It's not limiting because you can always change what you do.

  • A lot of people do crappy things just to Avoid things in life they have no control over....such as parents for young people, and employment for older people. This conflict leads to all kinds of dis-ease, btw.

  • OK you have to keep in mind that we do EITHER have one single dynamic identity OR many multiple different identities, matching the state, situation and environment we are in. People continuously evolve from their past state(the mind is not static)

Of course people develop habits from recurring activities and if you don't experience diversity in certain situations, you will most likely have a particular way of acting in that situation. Not necessarily acting that way in all states/situations.

  • So if you're a 'n00b' in life in one state / situation / environment it's not necessarily you who's wrong or need to change. Changing job, school, friends, food, clothes, hobby e.g. might just as well make you 'pwn' life

  • furious ur english speaking has allot improved and i agree with u guys :=)

  • @youngforcecrew

I think it's always been good.. people who live in countries that don't dub their TV's have usually great English..

not my country's case at all, lol.

  • I was addicted to wow, i loved the game, and there is nothing wrong with playing the game in my opinion, but i just could not control myself, i played too much, did less sports and made less homework, Im still a gamer on my xbox. i had promised myself to do less wow, but it didnt work. I had an argument with my parents even, when i then sat down behind the computer and saw the movie it gave a breakthrough and i said goodbye to the guys in wow, asked their msn and shut down wow,

  • ofcourse theres nothing wrong about playing games, but like with all the things you have to put on urself limitations, everything is good in well-considered quantity, if you understand what i mean.. so playing games or whatever 1-2(-3)h a day is ok, before sleeping etc, but doing this all the day - it's a waste of time and has like 9999 different negative effects on you..

    sry 4 my english ^.-

  • Yeah, I just couldnt put limits on wow so i decided to quit, i CAN however put limits on my Xbox time for myself so i didnt quit that ^^

  • This is all about #3, putting thoughts and ideas into practice. Acting on your values. The hardest step.

I value being in shape and being active, but I rarely get motivated to do things like that, so I am trying harder to notice when I am 'wasting time'.

  • Thanks for yet another awesome video

  • BTW I've been looking for my sombrero, im glad you brought that up. Just found your channel, you have a new fan. Thanks guys.

  • This was sound advice guys and i am going to try and use it .. but couldnt help feeling you both looked a little jaded and ill???

  • no, but they played wow

  • fuck you tergingbfdslsfasdsr

  • great video

  • This video may be too sensitive for teenages to watch, a lot of people may not understand your philosophy or some of the terms you use, i mean if i was 10 years younger, i wouldn't know how to handle some of your videos....in particular this one.

I can't change who i am (with a snap of a finger). Ive been who i am for the past 25 year's.

I don't do nothing, so i guess i am nothing. Ive finished some study, and now im looking for work.

  • amazing video

  • more important, take responsibilty for your fucking actions, otherwise nothing will help you fags

  • Social Engineers FTW!

  • That was amazing..

You really motivated me. Coming from a 14 year old non stop gamer playing COD4..

I'm gunna try something new tomorrow.

    Thank you.

  • Thumbs up !

  • amazing video this is a really good reflection of me.. somewhat lazy, plays video games alot (particularly wow and CS:S) and sometimes procrastinates with school. Right now life is kinda meh but i dont know wtf ill do without THA GAEMS.

  • WTF What happened to HD?

  • Thanks, this vid helped a lot.

  • This was really motivating. You gave me a good view on how to look at how to improve my life, tomorrow I'm going to try something new.

  • really really good vid, i also felt like you were talking about me.. ( 16yr old gamer..)

  • Hey! I only ran naked over the street with a mexican hat when I was drunk I'm not the person that actually does that in normal state :o :P

  • kool message and all i mean some things you should change but dont ever forget YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE BE YOURSELF REGARDLESS

  • Great video! The topic was very interesting :)

  • Great video, powerful message, easy to understand format

  • i see weed up in the spice bottles behind them on the top shelf

  • inspiring video xD

felt like you were talking about me xO

    bet alot of peeps did.

    keep it up

  • IAN ;_______;

  • Laf, Dean had matching colored shirts on :P

  • I was a stripper or 6 years. I changed my lifestyle completely but I'm still getting away from the stripper identity. So pick what you do carefully. It will follow you around.

  • I ate an apple today, does this mean I get more channel view? :P

  • A fantastic video guys, kudos.

(I know this is a somewhat redundant post but it's all I can do to show appreciation :)

    -Cheers

  • cool

  • I see it as a consistency issue.

Because of this video, I'll stop wasting time so that I can go sleep earlier and make a full 8 hour sleep.

  • Have you ever thought that people do have a job?

  • A very articulate video from you guys.Well done!

  • yeah, ok! the clips provide the motivation! iPower team is awesome.

  • Basis sociologie..

    -Self fulfilling prophecy

    -Relatieve deprivatie

    -Front stage / Back stage

    -Identity building

    -Statusangst

.. jullie zouden deze sociologische termen moeten gebruiken :)

  • Nee...

  • Thanks !

  • can you plz discrube what being open-minded means and active thinks =D

  • Active thinking is when you take the time to think about all the things you go through in life and making sure that you're doing it to better yourself. Thinking about what you do in life and ways to be a better person. Open-mindedness is being able to accept other ideals and trying to view their point.

  • Furious, you look more skinny :S take care

  • Its so easy to lie to yourself, to plan something for your future and realize the real logistics of it, your right, it is the most demotivating thing to fail something you planned to do. I think changing your paradigm and living for your goals now can really change your life style, you have to look at yourself as a motivated person and show it to yourself and to everyone. Something you practice becomes a part of you.

  • Amazing video,love it. 5 stars.

  • I felt like i really related to this video and it really reinforced what has been on my mind for a while now.

    Thanks!!

  • Thank you! This Video helps, make more. : D

  • SeCrEtS to StAyInG MoTiVaTeD

#1 find something you enjoy that gets your blood pumping a bit, some type of excercise not drugs, it makes you happier

#2 when you don't wanna do something you think you should like your job or other important things, say to yourself "stop being a bum" and do it.

    and that's all

  • This was a great clip. I will take this advice starting now!

  • So explain how mr. no shirt (furious) is trying to be taken seriously now after being pigeon-holed into the role of half-wit athene sidekick.

  • That's a show. He's an actor. Athene is real being the WoW Paladin and all that, but Dean(furious) is just an actor in that little show they made. They made like a million of videos on it :D

  • Sure its a show but its called type casting. Remeber mark hamil from star wars? He never had another famous movie role after star wars because he was always going to be luke skywalker.

  • great breakdown. well said.and there is no type casting here.

  • that was to myscannersuck

  • Wow. Great clip guys. Excellent. I'm going to implement a to-do list from now on.

  • where is athene in this vid

  • alright alright, well thought out and a really good message in theese tuff times.but what do YOU want to do to improve how you are getting your message out......... if it is true about the SHOW then you could do the show ,make money and get YOUR message out to alot more people. mmmmmmmmmm.

  • gah you stole this from batman!!!!

lawl good video, nice to see you guys putting thoughts into videos.

  • Ipower! you guys blow my mind

  • I think you guys are ignoring why it is people do the things they do.

There is a deep psychological affect on why someone does something. Example person plays WoW all day because they have low self esteem or cheat because they are afraid to love (or there role model wasn't very trustworthy). Plus many other reasons.

Laziness can be a sign of emotional and or physical imbalance.

  • I'm into psychology and I have to agree. The most controversial thing that people talk about is their clothing describing their personality. It is only just part of your personality. I take the clothing, their body movements, their topics, and their energy to figure out someone's personality.

  • All of that can be misleading though.

  • Not if you know how to read people correctly. I've been doing it for about 10 years now. I didn't think clothing was a part of my personality as I didn't think that what I wore reflected my mischiefed personality, but in a way, me wearing dressy wear is a part of me, because I like to look good and show that I mean business, because I do.

  • youtube did it again

  • these talks really help me for some reason. Great job guys! Seriously keep makin more videos

  • Spot on! A key word here is CONVENIENCE and the question has to be whether one finds an intended result sufficiently satisfying that one finds it 'convenient' to put in the necessary work.

As public transport is key to my daily life, I find it works well if next morning's To Do List is written as a timetable, from the moment I get up. Therein lies sufficient structure that I usually get more done than I was counting on doing, which validates the point you make in the clip . . . . Love McD.

  • must be weird talking into a camera like someone is there with you.

  • good job1

im gonna try that right now bitches11111

  • this is mad as vid thanks for that

  • I love this, great explanation and motivation for self improvement

  • It is not what we think that defines us, it is what we do, and when what we think differentiates from from what we do, is when we begin to lie to ourselves.

  • lmao "i think we've all had days were we have played world of warcraft all day"

  • damn ipower is really changing my life lol..

  • cool clip guys thx

  • I think we are each dependent to an extent on family and society at large, in terms of how much can be commited to. I tried boosting my daily and weekly routine to something more difficult but still reasonably achievable. I think my parents freaked out because it diverged too much from their sedate lives. They basically harassed me to the point where I was dealing with them so much it caused me to cut back.

  • Great clip guys, keep it up

    I agree completely

  • great clip guys!

  • This video really spoke to me...

    I'm a real slacker...

  • yeeeeeewhaaaa

  • I love this point, Derren Brown explains it real well in his book Trick of the Mind, to paraphrase something he says "a better way to define oneself [than what one thinks of oneself] is as what you think others think of you"

  • lol Reese "im gonna have to edit this shit now"

  • You're talking complete shit, people only listen to you because you're interesting listen to, that's your skill.

  • I totally agree.

  • GIEF IN HD!

  • hi guise

  • thanx guys. that was a real help :)
