Dear Marty, As a fellow musician, I have found that I can learn something new from even the simplest lessons. I wish that when I saw a " how to" demonstration. The instructors would start calling a note by it's name Instead of "string number 3 fret number 5" Instructors could use the name of the note and even incorperated it with Fret 5, string 3 =C.

@lespaulplay3r the best way is to just experiment. A lot of tone is in the fingers. Try putting the bass up around 3 oclock, treble at 12 oclock, and the mids wherever it sounds good. Remember, no one is ever going to sound like Clapton.. or Marty.
