I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. Check out my page to see what we did with a Turbo Buick and a T-bird SC, we've done the Turbo GM trucks before, but want to do a video to show clients how to install it, please let me know of somebody in the community in Southern California.

@kief4diamonds hmm, my old 98 auto trans am when bone stock went a best of 9.30 at 79mph in the 1/8th. This was with multiple skilled drivers. This was at the old Dallas Ga drag strip(southeastern dragway) Oh well, all tracks are a little different!

Altitude Temp Tires Pressure Track Conditions Tune Mines 3:23 Mines a 2002 with stock ls6 instake WS6 prob got way less miles so far; 2000 Caddillac eldorado etc @ 9.46 2005 Bonneville GXP @ 9.9 2005 GTO M6 (mods) M6 7.6 Currently a 2008 STS Cadillac V-series @ 8.2 and my "built on a monday" black on black ws6 @ 8.5 God knows there are some of us trolling out there who wanna take a shot at Nürburgring. Kudos towards not wrecking guys.

@westfabrications maybe its because the 01s and 02s had about 30 more horses then the previous ls1 models but an 8.5 seems like a stretch

Saw a 89 with juice & BFGs in 91....hit it after 2nd gr as u couldn't hold it. don't kno what hp juice was but it left a big block ford shrt bed in another zip code in 1/4 absolute killer machine on the job. they need to revive this kind of machine.

what do you normally run in the 1/4? thats pretty close to what my srt-10 runs in the 1/8th

never ran the qtr. It now runs 7.70s, this should be close to 12 flat in qtr. Truck has nothing special done to it. stock turbo, atr strip chip, cat back exh, ac delete, fp reg, walboro, elec fan and thats about it. oh and the most important thing!!!! TORCO ACCELERATOR!! 1gallon Torco per 20 gallons 93 octane =107 Unleaded race fuel! Get some, this stough works great!! Your SRT 10 would love it!!

i'll have to look for the fuel, i'm gonna get the head ported/polished and have the milled down to bump the compression to 10.5:1 and then put a cam in it, plan to get a race gas tune and a street tune, workin on weight reduction now. 7.70's might be in the 11's i ran a 12.34@110 and my 1/8mile was 7.94@88

Your buddy might need to work out the kinks on the fbod. My 02 runs high 8.50s-mid60s @ up to 91 when it's like 90 out at paradise. And my car has a lid/filter, !muffler, diy ram air, some added timing, and !spare on street tires.

I'm not knocking it i'm just saying it should trap higher. Your cyclone is running pretty decent with that trap :)

I go everytime I do a new mod! Truck is out of commision at the moment Currently, having a custom program and turbo installed. I should be running 7.5s when I go back to PARADISE in JULY. I would to meet up with you TA for some track service!!

Its the stock turbo. Looking to install rpms stage 2 bolt on turbo and custom 16/1 chip / injectors in the next few months! looking to get it deep in the 7s in the 1/8th!

i dont know if its faster i havent gone the one in Calhoun but looking at the track seems like its level plus i see a lot of nasty looking beast there i havent been there this year one of my friends has a 7sec mustang ive seen go down last year

but its a fun place friday night test and tune is cool give you a chance to woop up on imports and exotics there and a guy in a svt lightning running there cant remeber his time but mph is in the 90's
