My old roomate had a built LT1 camaro that ran high 10's on the bottle and low 12's off the bottle. It cost him about 10-15k for that build WITH discounts. It only costs 5k in upgrades for a 2000 lb civic to hit 12's.

3k in a LT1 camaro won't beat 3k in a feather-weight civic. Power-to-WEIGHT ratio's mean a LOT. ;)
