Definately Retro! That's when the Pavilion first got the Rainbow, it was brand new!! Back before the Ripley's building was changed to the "broke" building. lol I was 6 years old in ' 87. The Rainbow was my favorite ride at the Pavilion, so even now when i go to Myrtle, i can't help but think of it sitting there on the corner where it did for so many years. OMG this could've been one of the many trips my family and I made to the coast when I was younger. We are currently trying to relive this with our children but it has changed so much! I wish it all was still like this! Thanks for posting this.
Thanks! I think this was sometime in the spring around March or April, judging from the crowds and the beach wear, much less crowded than in the middle of summer.
