  • Hooray for the Sith!!! Btw, love the effects and the Anakin-twirling-lightsaber-combat movements from the Sith! 6/5!

  • Heh, about what I would say these days too, except with less stars :P

  • lol this will sound dumb

but im gonna make my own movie soon but would you like to rate it when it comes out?

  • I know you intended that message to be to someone else, but I'd sure like to see it (especially if it's Star War). And yes I will rate it when you're done. Please, give me the link when you're done.

  • lol

  • What software didja use? :P

  • This was back in my PC days. Edited in Premiere and VFX were in After Effects. These days I'm all Final Cut Pro, Apple Shake and Silhouette Roto :)

  • "nothin' too special"? I liked it!

  • F.R.I.K.I.S (fantoches raros idiotas k-pullos

    increiblemente sosos

  • you guys should take a little time to build some cool costumes. Would have made a cool video ten times better. Good job.

  • That was damn good, keep it up.

  • Could you send me these sounds effects?

  • hey wats up..this is caleb(rissa's nepfew) i wanted 2 see if eric had n e bmx stuff on here and i typed in caauwe and i found u...good video

  • very good! After Effects? effectslab?

  • Good Shit...I actually think I have a short clip of this footage unfinished...Always good to see DMP stuff /)/)

  • Good Shit...I actually think I have a short clip of this footage unfinished...Always good to see DMP stuff /)/)

  • That was great.

  • cool video

  • How long did the choreography take you? How long did the f/x take you + did you do them?

Where did you get your props? THANKS

  • I really liked the lightning, but when you hit your lightsabers together there were big cloads of smoke and sparks and, though impressive in the f/x, its not what happens when sabers make contact. I would have been more impressed if there was a reflection of the lightning on all the windows of the cars actually

  • Thanks for the comments, but I can't see how people seem to totally miss the fact that only the blue saber sparks, and only for the last bit of fighting, because it was damaged earlier. I know there is one shot that can be touched up to make this more clear, but there is a reason behind the sparking, people just need to pay attention...should be more evident when the sound is finished as well.

  • As for lightning reflections, well, there are very few spots where we would see it, and given the deadline, we wouldn't have had time to add them, although I may consider it on a few shots for the final release.

  • i see that now that you explained it, but i think there needs to be more fighting w/o the sparks before this can be realized. Good Job, along with the other questions about f/x & choreography, what kind of canera did you use?

  • Eh, I guess you can't please everyone as a filmmaker ;) We shot on the Panasonic HVX200.

  • im actually sayin gthis b/c im a film maker myself, i think it'll be more clear to the audience if you did that, if you cant re-shoot more fighing, one more thing to do would be to add sparks/etc in the initial shot when the handle is being thrown away (specificaly when it slides into the wall) to show that it IS broken. Effects?+Choreography?

  • Yup, that's exactly the shot I'm thinking about. We choreographed the fight in about 3 or 4 hours, and then choreographed the final exchange after I am thrown into the pole the following morning, and then shot over the course of the afternoon on the next day. All the effects were done by me in Shake and After Effects.

  • awsome, the sabers are probably the best ive seen--GREAT job. I'm not sayn' you have to but if you could ever do a tutorial on making them look the way thet did that would be good. i don't actually have AE myself but i had the demo once and Ryan-W's tutorial makes a so-so saber, your's were really good.

  • just watched Alex vs Nate, pretty good, i would have to say cinematicly, yours was the best of all the LCC entries. However it lacked in fighting, and a good chunck was just you two fighting over the red saber.

  • i can fight better.

  • the blue guy is utter crap, the red guy does everything

  • Pretty good. A faster fight sequence and a story will make it even better.

  • that waz cool

  • Cool stuff... don't forget to aim for targets, add some plot and build on upcoming projects...

  • Hehe, definitely. Wow, I'm coming up on the 2 year anniverssary of this in April.

  • Hey, I hear ya... in June 2007 it will be the 1-year anniversary of Balance of Power, EP I... and the beginning of Episode II... :)

  • that was a terribal death! ohh well suck for him

  • Wow. That was better than a lot of the lightsaber battles that I 've seen adults do. Nice job.

  • nice

  • Dats good man realy good. What program did you use to make this

  • Adobe Premiere Pro for the editing, After Effects for the sabers. My friend did the color grading in Magic Bullet.

  • for the people who say the camera work is good. Thank you, im am jeffery caauwe, ncaawe's littel bro 11 years of age. i enjoy doing camera work on that camera.

  • and i forget what camera i used

  • I'm going to have to discuss with you the ferocity of your sound effect for the last shot.

I haven't seen this is so long. What fun.

  • Nice... Good camera work. SFX and stuff pretty nice too.

  • agree, really nice, one of the best, and you are still really young! keep up the good work ;)

  • Thanks for the comments dudes, and the favorites. I've got a few projects on the editing room floor awaiting completion. Keep a look out over the next couple of months =)

  • Kid. Ill look foqard to seeing your movies. Dont let the jedi's and sith die :)

  • That was great. Good camera work also.
