You play it really well! Especially for one man with one guitar. I'm tryin to play this too but I'm not sure how to hammer the strings here and there. I know the chords, just not the 'decorations'..
Like when you play the G, you put your thumb on the low E string, 2nd fret, and you hammer the 3rd fret with your middlefinger? I think I figured that out... but what about the other parts? Could you perhaps explain to us what you're doing there?
Dont pay too much attention to the thumb, Im using it mostly to mute the 6th string when Im playing the modified F and C chords on the four and fifth strings, both of which look like a standard G chord that is played with the third finger on the 1 string. All the hammer on's are first finger, 2nd fret to second finger, third fret. Hope that helps explain...
I play Copperhead Road, but its such an obvious choice to cover. I am still playing around with different arrangements that attempt to hit the dynamic shifts with just one guitar, but havent really gotten there yet. I'll keep working on it.
I saw them together a year ago in Ann Arbor, MI. Great show except for a jerk in the audience who wanted to carry on a private conversation with Steve while the rest of us had to listen. Steve finally told him to shut the truck up.
A band is a luxury; but one of these days.... I'll find a couple of musicians who only wanna work a little bit, not all the time...I think I could connive my son to play drums...
thanx very much JustPlainDB,

nice mustang and playing. I like the tune, especially Waylon and Willie's version on the Outlaws album.
