in my country we used to make spaceships, kites and guns with paper and karts with wood. I used to play in the streets with my friends. I had so much fun when I was a kid. Nowadays children need internet or video games to have fun. That's sad.
Oh yeah, instructables rocks. I've been making beaded crafts for people this Christmas, especially making Nintendo characters out of seed beads (the trick is to use a square stitch).
Unfortunately, when we were young we could appriciate the home made stuff, most kids now days will mostlikely cry and act spoiled..... :o(
Im a girl, and I remember using everything besides Matel stuff to play with my barbies... Made a guitar from blunt scissors and cardboard, made beds from wooden fruit crates, dressed them in balloons and crêpe paper etc...

This may sound completely random, but I'd love to see a show on whales. I'm not quite sure why- I've never particularly cared about whales- but I can already visualize you stomping around the screen making whale sounds...

I make origami wish stars and write a note for the person on the sheet of paper before I fold it. It's cheap, and my friends seem to like it.

Sounds like my family! My dad once my me a "My Little Pony" castle out of molded styrofoam packaging. My friends were actually jealous. :)
