My first thought is not stereo. You can process the bass and treble side separately and mix them after processing. What about two aura pedals using different mic models for bass and treble? Or different EQ settings, maybe? Stereo you get from your reverb pedal :)

Sounds like a trade-off situation. If you can process highs and lows separately you can optimize each one without messing with the other. I admit I have no idea what I am talking about but it just hits me as something worth testing if one could afford one of those gadgets. But mainly I just wanted to comment that "stereo" may not have been the purpose of such a split :)
I'd like the aura to come with a VST plugin. Imagine recording using one or two mics plus DI the bass and treble separately and run them through aura plugins. Lotsa post production possibilities for a techno geek ;)

nothin wrong with techno geeks they just get better sounds out of their instruments instead of 'calling it good'
