The box doesn't move back. The only thing I see is that the left hand is over animated. The fingers do not need that much opening and closing. Perhaps that is what is creating the illusition that the box moved back when it didn't.
you are right the box does not move back in the final version, obviously this was adjusted as the whole was tweeked and improved, the fingers don't bother me, it just gives the figure personality and anindividual chracter trait. nice ;)
In creating "individual character," the action needs to be clear and not over embellished to mislead the eye. This may not be the best way to create the illusion you were seeking. Your "personality" is displayed more so throught the main body action. You could have extended the hand outward, wrist bent upward in a grab, with a settle tilting it down with a slight closing in something of a claw-like shape. This might have achieved the sense of ndividuality you were seeking.
very interesting, but i am not the animator i was merely responding to your comment, which i thought a touch picky. if you concentrated on observing more you will see i have a different user name, perhaps you should step back and look at the whole, which as an instructional piece is successful at showing the development of this particular action. everything should'nt be perfected to the point of boredom, there are too many nerds in the industry. i say, "i like the fingers!"
I was courteous enough to respond with constructive suggestions. Your response gave the impression that you were the animtor.
I don't have time to research that. It is not a matter of being "picky." From the response I gave, I should seem qualified to post these remarks. But as long as you are not the animator, there is no reason for your contacting me. Since the word "criticism" has become so negative, I use "suggestion" and "direction." These remarks are made to help, not destroy.
there seems to be a lot of people on you tube who can not appreciate the effort of good content uploaded, without feeling the need to put down or at least come over as superior, i am glad you have made it clear that you are not one of these. i look forward to you uploading some of your own excellant animations then we can all appreciate that your helpful comments are founded on such experise, i won't bother you any more as you were too busy to read my name, pleae feel free to have the last word.
Perhaps if you channel some of that energy into making something of your own, you might have more of as positive sense of accomplishment. There is no need for this level of sarcasm, and you indeed have a LOT to learn. Again, it's not your work, so there's no need for the bruised ego. There is no debate here and your address is blocked.
who said i don't make things of my own, no bruised ego. you were the one critising unessessarily, i just added that i didn't agree, it's not your work either, but you still feel the need to go on about it. inflated ego on your part more likely, don't take offence so quickly.

And you wrote a book...
You should learn animation, both 2D and 3D, before trying to teach it...

@Dr4gounet Agreed. Perhaps acting out the action yourself should be the first step...not imagining how you think it should look.....
