@Solowizard no when doing simple push ups your range of motion is limited and you wont be able to explode at the end of each rep. like he is doing with a bag f you do a push up and end it by pushing off your whole body of the floor in a jump it will emulate that
Not really a plyometric exercise as there is no explosive component to it. A plyo exercise has a rapid eccentric movement, followed by an amortization portion, then an explosive concentric movement. This is more of a core strengthening exercise. But this would be great for Muay Thai (build strength for the clinch), anyone that grapples (for sprawling on a shoot counter), judo or jiu-jitsu (twisting to throw strength).
@MushaTetsujin You are phenomenally stupid. if you watch very closely (this is sarcasm since it is plain to see at several points in the video) you will notice his hands propell the bag away from his chest in an explosive extension. you have just listed the three component phases of a """"""plyo"""""" excercise and failed to identify them in a very simple demonstration of a """""""plyo"""""" excercise, what is the point of you?
@MushaTetsujin exact same motion and plyo exercise as a plyometric push ups except its used with less weight. also you can do higher reps on it but it is not as challenging as standard plyo push ups because first you are using less weight.. and second you dont have to balance and stabilize your body while doing it.
