Btw, this video is of the currently-available ONLY 2 MONTH OLD BETA. The other maps, classes, raids, cities, mounts, nor transformations have been released yet. The content released is probably at about 1% atm. Vindictus owned WoW with a 2 month-old open Beta.

@syko52 There's plenty of problems with the new MMO's. While they offer a level of "bling", realistic graphical style grows old fast. WoW is still having a ton of players, since it offers a simple, distiquishable graphic style, which works on older computers as well. Not all players have high end computers even now.

And when WoW started it all, it's tough trying to improve on that. You have interactive quests? WoW did that. Minigames? WoW did that.

Free to play hasn't meant anything either.

@syko52 My choice of words was probably a tad bad. Of course WoW didn't start it, but it combined and polished the things that MMO's we're made of. It defined the MMO scene, set a par way back, when there wasn't really much competition.

WoW just has been doing all these features well for six years already and has a huge base of players and fans behind it. The new MMO's will surely come, but I doubt they'll overcome WoW until Blizzard decides to pull the plug. :/

Vindictus has yet to go official, but it will very soon. Vindictus will beat WoW in many aspects. I've played both games, & Vin is definitely the stronger game. That is my point. NOW, WoW DOES HAVE some very real competition. Vindictus is truly a badass game, full of quests, character builds, bloody raids, unbelievable graphics, & is also free.

Also, another thing that came out of the series of quests from Morthis Whisperwing was the Moonstone Key, which was used to summon the Raven God inside of Heroic - Setthek Halls.

Now the 4.01 patch is out and a druid is no longer required to attain the raven lord mount which is randomly dropped from this boss. It is open to everyone...so I guess it is "fair". But it was cool back then, I had people asking left and right to run it with them. All that time I never got the mount... /cry

Lastly, flight form was the reward of a quest for Cenarion Expedition. The good thing about this one was that when you did the quest, it gave you the flight skill as well as the ability to go into flight form. All other classes had to pay for that flight skill. Swift flight form came at the end of a very (very) long series of quests for Morthis Whisperwing in Zangarmarsh. At the end, it was awarded and gave you the feat of strength for accomplishing it.

There's just no challenge to leveling a lot of classes now. There was a quest for almost every form but cat form. Bear form was the reward of a quest, which was given after having to fight the Great Bear Spirit. Aquatic as mentioned above involved the quest that involved collecting both amulets to forge the pendant of the sea lion. 1 was located in Eastern Kingdoms, the other in Kalimdor. For any experienced druids, you would remember how bad this quest was. Travel form didn't come until lvl 30.
