I think she just kind of fills up one half of Tom's creative genius, and he still does what he wants (go to tomwaitslibrary and search for the lyrics page of "A Little Rain", then read the notes under it - you'll see what I mean).

When I was younger I loved in that lost boy kind of way. Then you realise that given the circumstances any love can begin and end. Once a woman's love means she wants to change you, then it loses any real value. I loved that woman with feeling. Now I only love her by action - that is I send her money each month because she has none

@rohanhaggart The way I see it people are at their best when you first meet them...from then on you have to layers of the person being torn off and off...and you find that girl that always was smiling and the life of any gathering.is actually a manic depressive. and you never dealt with the depression before you were with her. You also lose a lot of autonomy in a relationship some people just can't stand that, and they keep looking for the person who is going to let them be them.
