Can I put stickers on my helmet?

My helmet came with a few reflective stickers, they advised that you have to put them on before the first use, I didnt do it so now I have a few stickers that I cant use, lol

I reckon that's a load of poop. All helmets whether fibreglass (GRP) or polycarbonate/composite (plastic) or carbon fibre-reinforced (CRP) or whatever will be coated with a lacquer or a varnish... on most helmets you're not sticking stickers straight onto the helmet material, just the glossy coating

Generally. No! you should never put stickers on your helmet. It is a vital safety concern as some slogans on stickers can cause the wearer to be struck repeatedly in the head for being a complete tosser.

It depends on the glue of the sticker. it also depends on if your helmet is painted or not. If it's really a concern, and you really want to put a certain sticker on your lid. Get some "clear" enamel paint and put a couple of very thin coats on your helmet. then put the sticker on over the clear enamel paint.

ABS is a very tough plastic, thats why Auto companies use it to make bumper covers on modern cars. Enamel and even Eurothane paints won't damage it.

i have a uvex helmet brought from italy (it not from where i buy it). if i remove the skullcap under him is a stamp put by italian road safety. if you find something like this you can be soure that your helmet is safe

It doesn't matter what you call it, plastic polymer or resin.

There are graphite, glass reinforced polycarbonate. In that case, it's used as the bonding material, no different than other plastic, nylon, polyester, polyethylene etc.

You know carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate exists, don't you?

Polycarbonate is a name of the resin, fiber glass is a name of reinforcement. You can make fiber glass reinforced polycarbonate. FR-Nylon, FR-Polyester etc.

Wrong. Polycarbonate is a plastic polymer, not a resin. Polycarbonate is used for a variety of applications including CD's/DVD's, bullet resistant "glass", drinking bottles, jet aircraft canopies, etc. Fiberglass can be used as a reinforcement when bonded with a resin, but the poly isn't the resin.
