Hey, so kinda random, but you seem pretty knowledgeable and I was just wondering where you get your parts from. Specifically, my 87 Pony needs a new transmission mount and it's proving tough to find one. The local dealer may get back to me, but in my experience, they aren't the brightest bunch. So I was just wondering if you had any secret sources you wouldn't mind sharing? :P
@Kaitie929 haha well no secrets. From my experience the dealers arent so helpful of getting you the parts cuz they discontinued everything. i bought the 2nd last exhaust manifold gasket from them apparnetly... Try scrap yard, Canadian Tire, NAPA, Parts source... or do everything custom lol. I'm currently installing 32/36 weber carb on my pony.. everything has to be custom. lol the guy with Jed118 id is a pony expert you could also ask him:) just wondering do you live in ontario?
Thanks so much!! And yea, I'm on the West Coast, so probably not as many scrap yards. Altho there are a lot of little old ladies with ponies in Victoria, so I may have luck yet. And yes, I checked out Jed's videos which were awesome. I'd love to be able to do something like that to mine but sadly I have neither the money or the know-how. Thanks again for the advice though!
lol,, ya,, this is my second hyundai pony,, love these cars, since this is only my second one, i must say they are a great car!!! oh did i mention,, im 16, and i have only had my licence for 3 weeks?? hahaha,,, just playin man,, i just like watchin car vids of 80s stuff cause i was born in 81, so it all reminds me of bein a kid throwin snowballs at cars like this
An old school Hyundai here (did you guys get the pickup version?) - Where I am in New Zealand, the local Hyundai dealership had a contest this year to find the oldest Hyundai in the area - Sure enough a March 1982 registered Pony (the previous model to this) came out of the woodwork and was displayed in the dealership...
Looks better than ferrary

Does that car actually have low oil pressure or was it the sending unit?
