great stuff, was in Chatham not long ago n these words sum up a feeling you get there, cracks everywhere, a beautiful and unaffected sense of diverse and broken life
welcome scum filled theiving trash from somalia, ghana, romania, welcome to break into our houses when we are at work, welcome to have the full force of british law behind as you pleed squatters rights and leave a british family homeless for months on end, welcome to these same filthy people who go to the head of the housing queue and are given everything they so desire, welcome to britain.
right on. the land is our mother. It welcomes you all. may your imaginations run bright and your torchlight guide others to find this very real place.
Billy Childish is brilliant and so is this . what poetry should be , not a load of flowery pish that you need 3 weeks to understand, long live Billy !!!
I live in chatham, and this poem (as intended) is a representation of chatham that is so true. his words are harsh like the area that they now describe. a powerful piece.
I remember driving past Billy being filmed for this. Ha ha, funny now I know what you were doing that day! Yep, and I remember seeing the prostitute with the white calf length boots. Her baby got removed by the Social. My friend was a social worker at the time.
The poem perfectly sums up Chatham Billy. And it might not have been your intention, but its beatifully sad, especially so when read by your tongue.

Just replace 'Chatham town' for 'England'... and say no more.

@MrSeven8910 boredom is a trigger of the most deeply dark feelings human can experience. I am currently bored, and about to commit suicide :)
