@washu12: No Sarah is trying to get Lightning back and Noel is trying to save everyone future. Lightning and Sarah do indeed meet you'd know that if you actually played the game. Lighting is a crystal and Sarah dies at the end and chaos takes over the world but...there is a to be continued. And boy what a way to end it on a plot twist like that.

Lightning crystalised herself so no harm would come to Etro. By doing this the chaos that was released at the end of the game couldnt effect Etro in anyway.

basically ffxiii-2 most important characters are caius, yuel and noel. caius and goddess had contracts, if the chaos heart owner caius dead then goddess also die. noel kills caius, so...haha

Lightning went into Stone Stasis as a last line of defense. It is to maintain hope and balance before everything goes into complete turmoil due to Caius's succession. It may not have done much, but gave the chance to Noel, Hope and Sazh to have a fighting chance.

There will be Story DLC to give background info on this. ie a very large Lightning episode.
